25.01.2022 Company Announcement Frontline Fire & Rescue was honoured yesterday to have West Australian Premier Mark McGowan, Minister for Emergency Services Fran Logan and Department of Fire & Emergency Services (DFES) Commissioner Darren Klemm visit the companys Malaga premise to announce the successful award of two new DFES contracts. These $125 million contracts to manufacture the 4.4 Broadacre and UltraLight Tanker Fire Appliances are a significant investment for the Government. Th...e company is extremely proud to be awarded these contracts with these vehicles playing such an important role in combating the threat of bushfires and other risks across the State. We look forward to the partnership with DFES in providing these new vehicles to assist both career and volunteer personnel in their vital operational duties. As part of these contracts, Premier Mark McGowan also announced yesterday that the Government will provide a $2.5 million grant to assist Frontline Fire & Rescue in establishing a manufacturing facility in Collie to carry out part of the manufacturing process. We welcome the State Governments grant that has assisted the company with this. The establishment of these premise will create 17 full-time positions in Collie. We are extremely excited about this opportunity and are very pleased to be part of the State Governments commitment to creating long-term jobs in Collie. Further details, including employment opportunities will be provided over the coming months as we finalise the details and timelines of the establishment of these premises. These two new contracts will also create a number of positions at our Malaga operations to add to our existing group of dedicated staff members. We would like to thank DFES and the various State Government Departments for the award of these contracts and the grant and in doing so, keeping manufacturing in Western Australia. https://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au//$125-million-invest
