In our previous post the wording Personal Adversity may have been misunderstood. Among other things, Cheyanne’s recent cancer scare reinforced what is most important to us, and our family takes priority over any financial gain of the Cafe. ... It was hell for us to go through & WTF are we doing with our lives was a sentence repeated more than a few times! Just to clarify a few things & answer questions we’ve received since announcing our closure on June 28. - No, we are not leaving Derrinallum - No, we are not selling any equipment or furnishings - Yes, our Friday night dinners will continue until the 31st May - Yes, we are open throughout Easter - No, we are not selling our beautiful Wool classing tables (Cheyanne collects them, she’s weird... but you already knew that ) - Yes, we may repurpose the building but first we’re taking time off. 03.01.2022 Dear Friends, We opened the Front Paddock Cafe just over 4 years ago, and wow what an amazing experience it has been! We wish to inform you that we are closing the business, and Friday the 28th of June will be our final day of trading. Closing the Cafe is a decision we have not made lightly, and is a consequence of personal adversity; which has made us realise our lives must take a different direction. We have thought about passing the baton on and selling the business, or t...he business and freehold together, but we know that this can be a protracted process and take many months. We know our decision to close the business may be met with disappointment, however it is what is best for our family. It has been our privilege to serve the community of Derrinallum and the thousands of travellers that have walked through our door. Business will be as per usual up to June 28th and we’d love to see your smiling faces before we close.
