24.01.2022 Today is World Environment Day (WED) . WED encourages awareness and action for the protection of our environment This years theme is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. The theme invites us all to consider how we can make changes in our everyday lives to reduce the heavy burden of plastic pollution. While plastic has valuable uses, the call to action today is to reconsider single use plastics.... if you can’t reuse it, refuse it How can you help the environment?

19.01.2022 Earth Day 2018 This year's Earth Day is dedicated to providing much needed information and inspiration to move toward ending plastic pollution, according to Earth Day Network. Today is the 48th year for Earth Day and the use of plastic seems to be more prevalent today than ever before. Single-use plastics such as bags, takeaway packaging (think sushi), bottles, knives and forks, while convenient, is probably doing our planet more harm than good. We know some of it gets r...ecycled. But a lot ends up in landfills or as plastic pollution, which gets into our waterways. Did you know: plastic is made to last forever it cannot biodegrade. Plastic materials can remain in the environment for up to 2,000 years! I love seeing large organisations such as Woolworths bring in a plastic bag ban in June 2018. Not only does it play a big part in saving the environment, it starts the conversation, it gets people thinking about the bigger impacts of our daily choices. Choose renewable, choose reusable
