19.01.2022 What a day!! Mulch, mulch and more mulch! A huge thank you to everyone who helped sheet mulching the west side of the property and especially to Charles who was... in the bob cat all day moving mulch where we needed it. There is no way we could have done it without your help. This garden bed is all prepped ready for native understory plants including some bush tucker plants. The kids had a ball using their imaginations, weeding and creating a Harmony tree in the corner. Can’t wait to catch up with you all next month. Now we need more mulch! See more

12.01.2022 We have Zucchini’s!! Another successful day in the garden this month. The kids raided the strawberries early in the day. We planted passion fruit vines around ...the teepee. Planted heaps more vegetables and flowering plants as well as more fruit trees. Together we managed some of the weeds and fed the worms who seem to be loving their new home. A big thank you to everyone who gave a helping hand today, to the community who have been continually donating their food waste in our compost bins and especially to Daniel and Raphael for helping us out with the irrigation system which is all ready to go. 12.01.2022 The First Presidency has continued to monitor the progression of COVID-19 and the recommendations from professional health organizations and local governments. ...While health organizations continue to express caution, local governments are beginning to relax stay-at-home orders and make provisions for businesses and churches to reopen with modified in-person gatherings. The Presidency has been prayerful in how to guide the church in this next phase. After consulting the World Church Leadership Council, which provides a global perspective, they are offering these recommendations. 05.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and help unload all the existing soil from the raised garden beds. It was hard work but I’m amazed at ho...w much we can get done working together. We also made another hot compost pile and buried the fermented food waste from the bokashi bucket the church as been collecting. Overall we had a very productive day and now our raised garden beds are ready for blitz day. See more

05.01.2022 Today was our permablitz. Everyone worked together to create some amazing areas. We had childrens activities to help keep them busy while the adults worked hard on creating the spaces. In the children's garden we have a worm farm in a bath a mud kitchen... teepee... insect hotel .... garden beds... stumps to walk and balance on as well as a mulberry tree which is the kids harmony tree. As well as many more garden beds for vegies. We are looking forward to start the vegie planting in the next few months along with creating the labrynth and planting more fruit trees. Thankyou Emma for organising this wonderful day.

01.01.2022 Easter gets its name from the Pagan Goddess Eostre, which was the Goddess of Spring and renewal which early Pagan converts to Christianity linked with the Resurrection of Jesus. For Australians, Easter is in Autumn. Mabon is the Pagan holiday for Autumn, the second harvest. It’s a time for grateful reflection on what gets us through hard times and rejecting what is no longer healthy or working in our life’s. It is time to complete projects, to clear out and let go that what... is no longer wanted or needed as we prepare for descent, so that the winter can offer a time for reflection and peace. And it is time to plant seeds of new ideas and hopes which will lie dormant but nourished in the dark, until the return of Spring. Today during devotions we reflected not just on Easter, but why we sometimes fear or prevent the end of things, and we asked ourselves, what if we embraced it? So we can then open our own doors to resurrection of our new selfs, ideas and exciting possibilities. Nothing motivates me more than a new beginning, Resurrection. -Emma Ghazarian
