Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5

23.01.2022 Today Jean-Pierre Rummens from Feed the Hungry Germany is travelling once again to Beirut, Lebanon, to assist local relief efforts. This will be his fourth trip for year. COVID-19 restrictions has compounded an already difficult situation for refugees in the area. Local churches are providing food packs with donations from FEED THE HUNGRY partners. Refugees are struggling to survive in an area where 1kg of meat costs double an average monthly wage. General groceries are dif...ficult to buy, where people exchanging electronics to buy basic food to survive. In addition to much needed food, last month, Jean-Pierre was able to bring four 5-Litre oxygen machines for refugees who are struggling with breathing as a result of COVID-19. Each of the small portable machines are able to supply oxygen to two people at a time and are able to administer medicine. Jean-Pierre brought 20 masks per machine to ensure that there was plenty to keep up with the flow of people while used masks were being sterilised.

12.01.2022 According to the World Health Organisation, 45% of deaths among children under 5 years are linked to undernutrition. We are dedicated to pushing that statistic down to 0% and we do this by distributing meals at schools in places where it's needed most. These rice meals are filled with nutrients that help these hungry children grow physically, and encourage them to stay in school so they can grow mentally. You can read more about us on our website:... https://feedthehungry.org.au/act/our-mission/ And read more about the current state of malnutrition from WHO: https://www.who.int/news-ro/fact-sheets/detail/malnutrition
