01.01.2022 Things got a little hairy yesterday afternoon. On top of a tiled roof...not steep at all but had dried moss on it. I didn't notice the moss other than the tiles looked dirty. But then whilst up fixing the TV reception rain started and that's when i knew it was moss! I managed to clamber on my bum down tiles to a point where my ladder was however the ladder itself was leading down to another section of roof only a meter or so down from the section I was on but given the tiles ...it was standing on were also mossy I decided not to trust its support. Thank you to my customer Brian and he being an ex-roofer who managed to get up to via less mossy tiles to help secure my ladder whilst I carefully climbed down this section then following him down to the ground on the less mossy section. Apart from being wet and a muddy mossy bum I was shaken but not broken. One experience i do not care to repeat.... EVER. See more
