24.01.2022 Decompression finally complete! What a huge experience! Months of planning, countless redesigns, integrated LX and sound, Covid outbreaks plus all the infinite onsite trouble shooting came to a head with such an amazing final product. Another collab between Fulcrum Designs and Staging and Chia Jen Art . Chia and her number two @Ruby Loof painted non stop for 2 weeks while the Fulcrum crew relentlessly cut shapes on the dance floor. We are truly proud of all their hard work ...and love having them in the Fulcrum family... Kwalia Design fabricated custom sails to fit the upgraded Fulcrum umbrellas with integrated lighting. Was a pleasure to see them dancing in the breeze at sunset... Bad Idea Factory nailed the lighting while Oz and @Alex Bourke from Squiffy Vision brought the warmth with their unique tutor gobo lights... Mikey and his solid crew from Eyebyte visuals delivered the best LED screen install i have ever seen and their content really brought the stage to life. @Chuck love your work! Mick from GC Lasers - Laser Displays & Spectaculars blew everyone's mind with his amazing last show... every time! Twisted Pair Productions delivered the biggest sound Rabbits Eat Lettuce has ever heard and we all enjoyed a good cellular massage to OPIUO. That dancefloor was actually one of the best we've been a part of .. Tonnes of scaff were hand loaded across the site in the pouring rain. All the crew pushed through in the mud, heat and cold. Harry Holt was the glue that held it all together while Sam Hodgson and Ryan Bean converted the mammoth design into reality. Makoto Iwagishi and French Julien Kergoat made sure the umbrella looked like they were supposed to... Ella Grace did an amazing job breathing new life into the UV space and humped scaff for 2 solid days on the bump out, surprising herself how much she liked... so proud! Our volley crew was the best of the best...@Shawn Lockhart Jesse Ante Yelavich and Ellis Gould worked tirelessly alongside the crew. Fittock Hohepa James was the soul of the crew. Always making sure we were well "looked after" and keeping the smiles flowing... We'd like to mention our fallen brother Caleb Griggs .....we think you would have been proud of your custom tree house! It's a shame your family couldn't enjoy it with us but we all toasted your honour on Friday night. Always in our hearts brotherman... Finally a big thanks and appreciation for Erik Lamir and all the Rabbits family for having us and making one of the most memorable festival experiences. Much love from the Fulcrum Family. 14.01.2022 Last week we lost one of our family. We were all taken by surprise and are still coming to terms with the loss of a great human. We are truly grateful for the good times we had together. He was gentle and caring and always looked after his mates. His positive attitude was contagious and he brought so much joy to those who worked around him. We were truly like a family we will always hold him in our hearts.... When Caleb started working with us he couldn't drive a screw in wi...thout stripping it. But he was determined to stick it out and eventually he became an integral part of the team. He showed tenacity and determination to accomplish the task at hand and he never quit, often working through the night to get the job done. By the end of our time together he had travelled all over the east coast of Australia and had worked at some of the most well loved festivals in country. He had learned to drive EWP's, forklifts and telehandlers. He had learned to climb scaffold and work at heights. He loved what he did and brought so much joy to the team. It was an honour to see him flourish and learn so many skills along the way. He is sorely missed... Please share this around. If you are struggling or feel like you're alone reach out. 09.01.2022 Every year Pitch presents unknown challenges. The 2020 edition proved to be a massive undertaking. Stage 1 was full of compound angles mixed with curves and foreign materials. Add Chinese New year and Corona virus and importation logistics. The end result was a stunning experience, especially at night. Stage 2 was a bohemoth that consumed countless labour hours, over 15000 lineal metres of timber and tens of thousands of batten screws. The crew pushed so hard from the begin...ning till the end. This year Fulcrum also took on all the scaffold and truss structures across the site, coordinating with production and ensuring it was installed on time. Overall it was a very successful build and the Fulcrum family continues to grow. Much love to our Pitch Family.
