24.01.2022 Fulham GP would like to warmly welcome Dr Ashley Zulkapeli to the team. Dr Zulkapeli is a qualified doctor and will be completing her second term of the GP Postgraduate Training Program with us. Dr Zulkapeli is available for appointments on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and alternate Saturdays either through online booking or by phoning our receptionists on 9277 8688.

24.01.2022 Fulham GP is taking extra steps to protect our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for adhering to the following protocol when checking in for your appointment with our receptionists: If you arrive by car, please wait in your car and phone the receptionist to let them know you have arrived on 9277 8688. You will then be asked to wait in your car until your doctor is ready to see you. If you have any risk factors, your doctor may consult with you by ph...one or come out to your car to meet with you personally. This avoids anyone with risk factors being exposed where possible. For those who do not arrive by private car please feel welcome to either wait outside the practice in the open air, or come inside to the waiting room where you will be asked to keep a 1.5 metre distance from other patients and receptionists. Please do let us know that you have arrived if you are waiting outside. We also ask that all patients kindly clean their hands before entering the practice using the hand gel supplied outside each entrance door. Under the new Medicare guidelines some patients may be eligible to stay at home and consult their doctor by phone. Our reception staff can advise you if you are eligible. In some circumstances, your doctor or nurse may be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, goggles, gloves and gowns. This again is for everyone's protection. Please be assured that Fulham GP has strictly followed Health Department advice and is working to ensure the best possible healthcare is provided to our patients. There are however certain instances where you may go directly to the Covid clinic provided by the major hospitals. 18.01.2022 Fulham GP has recently purchased two new dermatoscopes which has improved our capacity to offer skin checks for our patients. If you would like a skin check or are concerned about a skin growth, please book an appointment online though our website or via the HotDoc app (or ring our friendly receptionists on 9277 8688).

18.01.2022 Fulham GP would like to say farewell to the much loved Dr Patrick Lee who has completed his short locum with us, however we would also like to warmly welcome Dr Derek Lem, Dr Samuel Ognenis and Dr Kathryn Burrough. Dr Burrough worked as a locum with Fulham GP over the Christmas period and we look forward to her working with us on a regular locum basis in the future. Dr Lem and Dr Ognenis are qualified doctors who are undergoing their GP post graduate qualification. Welcome!

17.01.2022 Fulham GP is open however accessing health care may look a little different right now. We have implemented COVID-19 safe protocols to ensure we can provide ongoing treatment for all your medical needs. Appointments can be made via the HotDoc app, through our website or phoning our receptionists on 9277 8688. Phone consultations will be available until 30 September 2020 (or as directed by Medicare).

16.01.2022 Patients are now able to select a 'Telephone Consultation' with their GP when making an online booking through our new online booking provider HotDoc. You are very welcome however to continue making appointments at our clinic for a standard 'face to face' consultation (Standard Consultation) as we are working very hard to ensure safe practices for all our patients, including screening patients and offering separate "Fever Clinics" for anyone with flu-like symptoms. Please note, we will soon be removing the facility to book online through our old provider Health Engine.

16.01.2022 In response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the Medicare item number for Telehealth consultations has been extended to March 31, however the bulk billing incentive payment has been reduced. From 1st October, Fulham GP Telehealth consultations will be charged at the same rate as face to face consultations. Children under 16 will continue to be bulk billed.... 16.01.2022 Fulham GP would like to extend a warm welcome to Dr Patrick Lee. While Dr Lee enjoys all aspects of general medicine, he also has a Diploma in Child Health and is qualified to perform iron infusions, venesections and Yellow Fever Vaccinations. Welcome Dr Lee.

14.01.2022 As of 1 July Fulham GP increased their fees according to the Medicare rebate increase. We have not however increased the private gap charges due to the current difficulties many are facing with the Covid-19 economic impact. This means that the out of pocket expenses for consultations remains the same as in 2019.

09.01.2022 Fulham GP would like to extend a very warm welcome to Dr Erin O'Donnell-Taylor and Dr Mithun Sri Ganeshan. Dr O'Donnell-Taylor works Monday and Thursday's and Dr Sri Ganeshan is completing a rotation for his post graduate GP training. He will be with us for 6 months and is available Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday's.

08.01.2022 Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, if you are suffering from fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath and have recently travelled overseas, or been in contact with someone who may be suspected of having the coronavirus, please phone the practice on 9277 8688 to notify the reception staff before your appointment. 06.01.2022 Fulham GP is now running a 'Fever Clinic' for about 4 hours most days. Our Emergency room has been converted to a Fever Clinic room, which has access to our pop-up outdoor assessment area. Any patient with flu-like symptoms, particularly a fever and shortness of breath is assessed and treated in this quarantined area. If it is warranted, our doctors will advise regarding further Covid-19 testing requirements at a Covid Clinic at one of our main hospitals. Please ring the practice on 9277 8688 if you have flu like symptoms and our reception staff will make you an appointment in this clinic and advise you of our protocol for checking in for your appointment (please do not book online).

03.01.2022 Flu Vaccines are now available. Please ring our receptionists on 9277 8688 to make an appointment in the 'Flu Vaccine Clinic' rather than using the Online Booking portal as we are ensuring appropriate social distancing and infection control measures can be implemented. Our 'Flu Vaccine Clinics' ensure there is minimal waiting times. Some people are eligible for free flu vaccines (for a complete list please see the attached website) however this year the government are extending the usual parameters for free vaccines to include children from 6 months to year 6 at primary school.
