25.01.2022 Pushing problems (read: assignments) off to the side in the hopes it'll be easier later or the due date just won't happen doesn't work. We have all achieved great things at the last minute, but when it's a lack of understanding, not a lack of motivation, that holds you back, ask for help. Whether you're a current tutee of mine or you've just come across me in a panic induced web search, I am happy to have a free meeting with you. These meetings often act like a consult/debrief/therapy/brainstorming session to help you translate report card comments into every day speech and help you or your child think about their approach to work. I'm not saying teachers are perfect, or that no one deserves help to achieve, but it's definitely important for a learner to take responsibility for their role in the learning process

01.01.2022 Reading is really good for you, and I always want to get my tutees into books (because so many say they just 'don't like books' which doesn't make sense). My garage library is open to anyone interested. Except Poe. Don't read Poe, especially 'Masque of the Red Death', nobody needs that sort of energy right now.
