25.01.2022 Since opening his eponymous cafe in Sydney in 1993 Bill Granger has written a bunch of great cookbooks. But. There hasn’t been a new one in ages. This one is well worth the wait. One of those cookbooks that you flick through, feel yourself salivating, and instantly have tonight’s dinner sorted. Delicious, fresh, no-fuss summery food. We also have it at 10% off the regular rrp. A great pressie for all kinds of people. Or maybe a special Christmas shopping treat for yourself? @bill.granger @murdochbooks #australianfood #cafefood #cateringforalloccasions #cookbook #cookbooksforchristmas #foodforlife #cookingathome #christmas2020 #avocadotoast #alfrescodining #alfrescoliving #alfrescolifestyle #australianlife #australianlifestyle #sydneysider

21.01.2022 The poet Spears said it best when she spake, "I'm not a girl; not yet a woman." The Space Between by Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald (of the Shameless podcast fame) explores the weird gap between youth and adulthood - the roaring 20s. This book has been immensely popular, is full of advice and does not speak down to its readers. https://shop.fullersbookshop.com.au/p/motivation-and-relati

21.01.2022 This One Wild and Precious Life. After her bestselling work on anxiety, First We Make the Beast Beautiful, Sarah Wilson is back and on a journey to reconnect with the world. The world is broken and many of us feel broken by it; so how do we live our best life while also trying to make the world a better place? A wild and rambling book that is structured around a series of hikes around the globe, This One Wild and Precious Life, goes beyond slogans and hollow aphorisms. $34.99 https://shop.fullersbookshop.com.au/p/this-one-wild-and-pre

20.01.2022 Mitsu has been a fixture on the Hobart scene for some time but this is her first appearance on the Dogs of Fullers Wall of Goodliness. Mitsu sports a lovely dense spotty coat, not dissimilar to an Appaloosa horse but much more practical, size-wise, for a cuddle on the couch. 123/10. A sanguine pooch who loves a smooch.

20.01.2022 James Boyce is an author of many talents. He's given us the definitive history of Van Diemen's Land. He's tackled the Pokies. And he's had a look at original sin. ... With his latest offering, Imperial Mud, he's changing the way that we view the history of the Fens. Very kindly, James popped by this morning to sign a number of copies! You can purchase one in store, or through our website: https://shop.fullersbookshop.com.au/p/history-imperial-mud-

15.01.2022 When Jasper Jones came out, it was hailed as an Australian answer to To Kill a Mockingbird no small feat. In an enormous week for Australian literature, Silvey's latest, Honeybee, arrives. And it doesn't disappoint. It's current. It's poignant. And it's a wonderful read.

13.01.2022 In 2016 we all fell in love with a wee magpie called Penguin who was rescued and adopted by the Bloom family in Sydney. Penguin, in turn, rescued the Bloom family as they dealt with a horrific accident and nearly losing their mum and wife, Sam. Sam Bloom is now telling her own story from childhood, through trauma, to a hopeful future. Like Penguin Bloom, Sam Bloom: Heartache & Birdsong is full of gorgeous and joyful photography and is the perfect present for anyone in need of... some inspiration. $32.99 https://fullers.circlesoft.net/p/no-category-sam-bloom-hear

11.01.2022 I LOVED paper dolls as a little girl.... Perhaps it’s not exactly PC to admit that or promote this gorgeous contemporary version that Usborne have put out.... but I don’t care! It’s so so cute & if you’re intended recipient isn’t a wee fashionista she might enjoy the part where you construct a paper wardrobe to hang all the clothes in, right? @usborne_books #minifashionista #paperdolls #oldfashioned #oldfashionedchristmas #christmas2020 #christmasissoon #littlegirlsfashion #indiebookstore #indiebooks #bookstagram #bookstagrammer

10.01.2022 We've been blown away by how generous people have already been with donations for the Smith Family Toy and Book Appeal and there are still three weeks to go! Here's a little spiel on what we're doing:

09.01.2022 After doing the post on paper dolls yesterday, I asked Tim what his little boy Soren was enjoying at the moment. Apparently he is loving AA Milne’s wonderful When We Were Very Young. How gratifying to know that these wonderful poems, written in 1924, are still being enjoyed by children today. We’ve been awaiting stock of these, and Winnie the Pooh, for sometime (I won’t use the P-word...) and at last they have arrived. They won’t last long though so you best be quick. If yo...u can’t make it in but would like one then give us a call or try our click & collect service online http://shop.fullersbookshop.com.au #clickandcollect #aamilne #winniethepooh #winniethepoohday #childrensbooks #childrensillustration #childrensliterature #itsaclassicforareason #childrensclassics #todayareadertomorrowaleader #bestbooks #bestbooksever #indiebookstore #indiebookshop @egmontbooksuk See more
