23.01.2022 The ram lambs due for a bung crutch, the ruler doesn’t lie. 90mm at 8 months old (lambs tip still on).

22.01.2022 It’s here!!!! 2020 online catalogue featuring 40 horned and Poll rams. Body weights available on the day. Sale date 31/1/20 at 3pm at Laggan Hotel. Inspection from 1230, any questions give me a bell 0409715008. https://www.fullertonstud.com.au/sales/2020-sale/

21.01.2022 Someone who knows much more than me once said, Unless things have changed from yesterday, wool growers get paid by the kg. Now even more so, kg of wool on the sheep’s back count. Our ram sale lot has been fleece weight indexed, at 11 months old and these ram lambs cut an average of 5.7 kg (without bellies). This one was the top being 7.8 kg. Weight matters. Thanks Jamie and Clemmo. Sale date 29/1/21.

21.01.2022 Long enough to be continued... or 10 months wool length off a ewe hogget.

21.01.2022 Thank you very much to our clients, helpers, AWN and Laggan Hotel for making today possible. 100% clearance, top of $2300 to Geoff and Lynda Southwell. A terrific effort and testimony to the Merino industry in a tough time.

20.01.2022 CHANGE IN LOCATION, due to the incoming rain it will now be held at 1404 Peelwood Rd, Laggan at the same time and undercover. We had 37 mm of rain and kept the rams dry thankfully. Bring a coat!

18.01.2022 Hogget ewe 5.5 months wool growth, born mid Oct 2019.

17.01.2022 The focus or goals can never be one trait or attribute. A holistic approach to breeding and management gives clarity when analysing performance. Our hogget ewe base receives the most attention and scrutiny. That next generation must be either better than or equal to the last. Being ‘better than the last generation’ is more than a catch-cry. It is a product of hard work, long hours and a desire to improve. Evolving in small but tangible steps within Fullerton Merino Stud will give the client repeatability when it comes to joining, classing and typing sheep.

16.01.2022 To reduce the Australian wool industry’s risk of being too reliant on China as the major buyer of Australian greasy wool, AWI has an ‘Emerging Markets strategy’... to identify and encourage potential new manufacturing hubs in Southeast Asia and the Indian sub-continent. The strategy aims to replicate the success that AWI has had in helping develop new manufacturing supply chains for wool products in Vietnam.https://bit.ly/366ZqtQ WoolProducers Australia Sheep Connect NSW Leading Sheep The Sheeps Back National Farmers' Federation See more

16.01.2022 Open faces, broad features cutting plenty of medium fine wool. Lamb marking finished up on 101%, down on our average unfortunately. This was due to a heavy fall of snow in October which reduced the overall percentage by 10-15%.

15.01.2022 Shearing nearing completion. Wool so bright, nourished and soft to touch. Ram sale 31/1/20 at Laggan Pub. Cheers to J Boothman and his team for a top job.

15.01.2022 Lambing is progressing nicely, with the only bad weather being the snow last week. Of note, large amount of twins and surprising number of triplets reinforcing Fullerton Merinos Studs fertility. Can’t wait to see the next generation coming through! #greentags

14.01.2022 A bit wordy but here is something we have been working on for a while: Lambing Percentage Ave 20 year ave 90.1%. 10 year ave 98.6%. 5 year ave 100.2%. The focus or goals can never be one trait or attribute. A holistic approach to breeding and management gives clarity when analysing performance. Our hogget ewe base receives the most attention and scrutiny. That next generation must be either better than or equal to the last. Being ‘better than the last generation’ is more than a catch-cry. 13.01.2022 The scales don’t lie. This fleece has come off a ram lamb with 11 months wool. We strive for extra kilos while maintaining style and nourishment. Fleece weighing gives us another means for grading and improving clients bottom line.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our clients selling wether lambs for between $106-$140 at SELX today. Yes an indication of a strong meat market, but also reinforces FMS traits that give producers the profitable option to sell when drier times hit. Well done Steve, Brian and Matt.

12.01.2022 Classing out the lighter cutting ewes after shearing. This, along with micron testing, body weighing and visually assessing keeps us striving to be better than last season. Unfortunately selling the cull maidens slightly earlier due to the average season.

10.01.2022 This years sale will be interfaced with AuctionsPlus, but still a helmsman auction. Please check out our online catalogue with videos and wool pictures - https://auctionsplus.com.au/auctionV2/New/#/catalogue/24936 Any questions then please get in touch with AWN Goulburn, or myself on 0409715008. 29/1/2021 at 3:00pm

07.01.2022 Thank you to Steve Boothman for his services in pregnancy scanning all the maidens and stud ewes. We are very pleased with the 148% average. We intend on drafting off the multiples so we can increase their nutritional requirements. More lambs, more selection pressure, more gain.

07.01.2022 Classed hogget merino rams available for $900 ex gst. Get in contact for more information.

07.01.2022 Save the date, 29/1/21 at 3pm in the grounds of Laggan Pub. 40 horned and poll 15 month old rams for sale. Worth the wait.

07.01.2022 The sale team at 12 months of age, post a Clik and hoping for some more rain! Note the correct structure and muscle mass in these ram lambs.

06.01.2022 Preliminary selection of this years 31/1/20 sale team done. The online catalogue should be online by early next week

04.01.2022 As lamb marking continues, this season continues to challenge and impress us. This lambing has been particularly hard on the ewe base. Stronger mutton prices, as well as an improving wool market keep the outlook very positive however. Our stud sire off-spring are showing typical FMS traits of an long mussel, heavy set frame and soft, loose skin.

04.01.2022 Thank you to all bidders, supporters and helpers for yesterday’s sale. 37/40 averaging $995 with a top of $1,500 which was No 6 to Brian Treacy.

03.01.2022 A couple of action shots of some of the sale team come the 29/1/2021

02.01.2022 The last touch ups for the sale team before Friday’s sale. Quality Merino rams available on the 31/1/20 at 3pm at the Laggan Hotel.
