24.01.2022 Hi all Just a heads up to all travelling north in September please be aware that the Airforce will be closing the road again. The closure as stated in picture.... If you leave Glendambo before 7am you will be able to get through. This will be the same as if your leaving Coober pedy. You will need to leave by 7am to get back to Glendambo. The closure covers a 300km stretch as we live in a defence range. This only happens once a year. If anyone is after anymore information your free to contact woomera defence range on... number below 8674 3370 As we have little information and this is all we have been told at the moment. Thank you.

20.01.2022 Plenty of room here even for these big guys

19.01.2022 We did a quick stop over in Port Augusta before continuing onto Adelaide. We stayed at the low cost RV campground. We made a beeline for Wadlata Outback Centre,... Tunnel of Time. Right next to the information centre, it looks small from the outside, but we were surprised at how expansive and impressive Wadlata's "Tunnel of Time" is. We learnt about fossils, the early explorers, on their brave treks; some of whom went looking for an inland sea. We saw how camels, ships, bikes, horses and cattle opened up this vast outback land of Australia. We took time to watch and listen to the tales of the early settlers, of bullockies, wheat, drought and disasters in the three-screen theatre. We also learnt all around the Ghan railway were wheat farms, hard to fathom after driving there recently Michael and kids pedalled the radio and were a kid on the School of the Air for a short time, we all tried our hand at Morse code (it is hard!) There is an old telephone switchboard which provided a real Party Line for many stations along the tracks, we got to listen to conversations. There was just so much to see, if you do not have time to finish the Tunnel of Time", ask for a "Pass Out" to return again free of charge. (Conditions apply). Wadlata is a real surprise packet, we really enjoyed ourselves there!! We continued onto The Water Tank Lookout which gave us 360 views of Port Augusta. Kids counted 83 steps to the top Afterwards we drove to the Arid Botanic Gardens to Matthew Flinders Red Cliffs, simple and yet so beautiful. #portaugustasa #wadlatatunneloftime #watertanklookout #matthewflindersredcliffs #blessedandinawe
