We removed the old sealant, applied primer ensure adequate bond. We completed two coats of UV Stable membrane giving a water tight seal. Its always advisable to use tape ensuring you finish with a consistent feature throughout the room. 14.01.2022 Today we carried out the first coat of #torchonmembrane to 4 Balconies throughout the multi Townhouse development for #Elliottprojects. We used #Soprema #Soprasun from our trusted supplier #bayset. Soprema is an APP modified membrane reinforced with non-woven polyester and a sanded face. Soprema Soprasun has excellent dimensional stability, tensile strength and ultimate elongation. A 420sqm multi unit block with various leaks throughout the roof. We remediated previous attempted repairs, by removing all mastic/caulking, built a cement hob to stop puddling, which worked a treat. We laid two coats of UV stable membrane throughout the roof.

08.01.2022 Cheaper is never better! Especially when it comes to waterproofing. Being out bid on any project, you always ask yourself the could we have done it for cheaper? The answer is yes but with that yes, it means you will have to compromise on one of the following, ... Labour using non-qualified personal. Material sourcing non-applicable products. An unsuccessful proposal, we offered to assist the client for the build to ensure no corners would be cut in remediation of the roof. The client declined our offer. The previous installer has broken several waterproofing codes of practice. Our competitor decided to torch membrane directly on top of the existing membrane. Not finding the source of water and stopping it showed us the installer used non-qualified personal and by installing direct on top of existing membrane was a pointless exercise. Once water is present underneath a surface you are already compromised.
