25.01.2022 Who else loves a good veggie kebab on the BBQ at Christmas? What are you serving up on Christmas Day in your house?

23.01.2022 A lot of women find their hormones go crazy at this time of year (December/January). All due to the added stress, busyness, alcohol and unhealthy foods. And I’m sure the stress side of things has been turned up a notch for most of us this year. While I'm all for having fun and enjoying the season, I'm also all about doing a little more than usual to nourish your body and support your hormones on the lead up to and during the holiday season. Stress, alcohol, and unhealthy ...foods all contribute to a lack of nutrients in the body, which will cause some pretty crazy hormonal changes and set you back if you've been making improvements with your health. Equally, if you’re somewhere in the world where your Christmas will be a little different this year - this still applies! Some key nutrients to focus on and where you can find them: B Vitamins - spirulina, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, asparagus, avocados, tahini, spinach, buckwheat Omega 3s - chia seeds, flaxseeds, walnuts, hemp seeds Magnesium - leafy greens, avocado, banana, nuts, legumes Zinc - hemp seeds, beans and legumes, oatmeal, pumpkin seeds Selenium - Brazil nuts, mushrooms, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flaxseeds, broccoli, cabbage, spinach Vitamin D - sunshine, mushrooms Vitamin C - broccoli, strawberries, kiwi fruit, capsicum, citrus fruits Probiotics - sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, kombucha It’s also super important to help your liver with detoxification at this time of year. Some great foods to help your liver are: beetroot, sweet potato, lemon, coriander, parsley, carrots and apples. Try and incorporate these ingredients into your meals in December. If you don’t look after and nourish your body, you will find that come late January, your hormones will be all over the show and you’ll have to play catch up which may take several months. Be careful not to go onto a calorie depletion diet in the new year and exercise intensely, as you’ll do more damage to your depleted and exhausted body. Keep posted throughout the holidays where I’ll share some more tips on how to keep balanced. See more

15.01.2022 ESSENTIAL OILS FOR YOUR SKIN One of my favourite ways to use essential oils is in my skincare. Combine 1 or more of these oils with sweet almond oil or jojoba oil. Sweet almond oil is usually best for dry skin & jojoba is good for sensitive, oily, and combination skin. ... LEMON: Add a drop to your night time moisturiser to reduce the appearance of blemishes. Lemon can cause photosensitivity, so avoid applying to exposed skin before spending time outside. CEDARWOOD: Add it to your nightly body lotion, daily face moisturizer, & weekly face mask. Cedarwood has skin-cleansing properties, helps maintain the appearance of youthful skin, & moisturizes and conditions. FRANKINCENSE: We call it the king of oils for a good reason. Use as a natural toner, decreasing the appearance of pores and evening skin-tone. This earthy oil has the power to improve complexion, encourages new cell growth, and is an anti-inflammatory. LAVENDER: A must-have in every home. Lavender soothes and nourishes all skin types, great for skin irritations, and can be applied to sunspots & scars. YLANG YLANG: Best known for balancing and regulating oil production in the skin to prevent excessive dryness & oiliness. Great for all skin types, but it especially benefits dry or mature complexions, working wonders on fine lines. GERANIUM: Want to know the secret to beautiful, glowing skin? Geranium essential oil! It promotes blood circulation, helps regulate oil production, reduces acne breakouts and improves skin elasticity. Add a few drops of this potent oil to your current skincare routine. TEA TREE: Tea Tree is a true multitaskerit regulates oil production and moisturises as it cleanses! Oily or acne-prone skin? Try applying 1 drop to a cotton swab and use it as a spot treatment to help reduce the appearance of bothersome blemishes! COPAIBA: A driving oil so it enhances the benefits of any other oil you mix it with also great to soothe the skin and help with any skin irritations. Note: everyone's skin is different so it's best to find what works for your skin type. Do a patch test on a small area of skin beforehand to ensure that you don't have any irritations. See more

09.01.2022 Not bad for a little off-grid bush shack. Lachie’s face sums up how we feel about our new deck. A few days before Christmas our new solar system was installed as well so it’s all been happening! Now we can easily chuck the washing machine on and run our aircon units without a generator and we won’t run out of power every evening! Just in time for the summer heat, phew It’s been a fun few months adjusting to our new way of living. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas

01.01.2022 Essential Oils do so much more than just make your house smell nice. I use these nourishing oils on my skin daily. Making your own face serum is so easy and you have the benefit of knowing exactly what’s going onto your skin (so also into your bloodstream!). No hidden or unknown chemicals, just pure goodness. I’ve been using this blend on my skin and have notice much smoother and clearer skin.... 15 drops frankincense eo 10 drops cedarwood eo 5 drops copaiba eo 5 drops lemon eo Topped with organic jojoba oil.
