23.01.2022 George says "thanks for the pedicure today today"
17.01.2022 32 weeks and getting through a couple of trims with the lumpy nugget in tow.... definitely finding nice ponies the easiest to do... just needing a 1hr nap to recover after each one #functionalhoofcare #pregnantpodiotherapist
16.01.2022 So this little guy is out & about... I'm currently working on showing Mr Paddy how to hold the tools so he can trim some ponies for me I'm on "maternity leave" until Wed 2nd Sept, if you have any questions let me know and I'll get back to you asap
15.01.2022 Awww this gorgeous boy, what a champ! Quick update: I'm currently working 2 days a week, which seems to be working well with baby Paddywack. This means I'm limited with how many clients I can take on, and then let's pray for no really hot days! I'll be giving priority to those that stick to a regular 5/6 week trim schedule ongoing. If you have any questions about available appointments let me know and I'll see what I can squeeze
14.01.2022 Little Annie says i have a new job title... "Podiatrist & Horsey Head Rest" I didn't dare tell her how heavy her head is
10.01.2022 Mmmmmm tasty hoof bits... Barry is site foreman and official hoof taste tester
02.01.2022 Wombi's little rider is on his way!... Due May 2020 It's trimming as usual for now, at this point I'm unsure when maternity leave will need to start, possibly February or March. If you're not comfortable having me work on your horses i completely understand. If you would like to learn how to rasp every 1-2 weeks yourself to keep your hooves in shape let me know, you'll just need gloves, a good rasp (the Produce Store always have Heller rasps in stock) and the dedication ...to do it regularly. Or if you prefer to look for another hoof care professional that's fine too. I'll be working as normal for as long as i can however I'll have to give strong, hard to trim horses a miss as it's physically taxing and too risky. Also I won't be able to take on any new clients unfortunately. Thank you!! See more
01.01.2022 Another day of highs & lows... Exhibit A: A perfectly managed 10hh pony with gorgeous little rock crunching feet makes my heart sing Exhibit B: An unmanaged/neglected pony with chronic laminitis and I'm ready to launch myself off a cliff (this is the first time I've seen this pony) The majority of ponies (and horses) cannot go out on sugar-rich grass without disaster, please manage them with either restricted or no grass grazing, grazing muzzle or an electric tape track system.
