21.01.2022 Posted @withregram @exerciseright_aus Millions of people worldwide are living with two or more chronic conditions - sometimes referred to as multimorbidity. Multimorbidity is often managed by treating each chronic condition separately using multiple medications from several health care providers. A recent review looking at adults aged 50-85 with at least two chronic conditions, showed that exercise improved quality of life! ... It reduced anxiety and depression symptoms, reduced risk of hospitalisation, pneumonia, and extreme fatigue and patients were able to walk longer. The exercise used in the studies were supervised by an Exercise Physiologist and included aquatic exercise, strength training, aerobic training and tai chi. The study concluded exercise could be a safe and effective therapy instead of increasing drug prescription in people with multiple chronic conditions Speak to your GP and ask to be referred to an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to start improving your quality of life! #ExerciseRight See more

It is vital to consult the right professional. An accredited exercise physiologist can tailor a program to suit your needs.
