16.01.2022 Happy Monday All! Just wanted to thank all my lovely clients for their patience and flexibility while Barry has been unwell. For those who don’t know, Barry (my beautiful French bulldog) ate 2 large pieces of leather belt last week which became lodged in his stomach.... There was lots of vomiting for 24 hrs while awaiting surgery. He had to be put on drip overnight to rehydrate him prior to his op - which all went well! Now we’re back at the vet again this morning as we’ve had some vomiting over the weekend and he needs to have his post surgery follow up. Overall he is improving but still making his dads worried sick. The last week has been incredibly stressful with lots of cancellations and rescheduled appointments - so I really appreciate your flexibility during these times.

03.01.2022 We Are Open Monday 28th September!! Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos, announced an easing of restrictions for allied health and other health care providers in metropolitan Melbourne during the second step, from the 28th September. Restrictions will change; however, it is important to note that DHHS have reiterated this is NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL. ... What We CAN'T Do: Routine care and regular monitoring (aka maintenance or regular ‘check up’ type appointments) other than via telehealth, is not permitted during the second step and practitioners should continue to delay services that can safely be delayed until Step 3. What We CAN Do: All AHPRA registered allied health professions (such as Osteopaths) can provide essential face to face services; to prevent a significant deterioration in functional independence which would result in an escalation of care needs (such as increased frequency in treatment, significant increase in pain, specialist input, or substantial increase in recovery time as a result of delayed care) for those people whose care has been delayed during stage 4 restrictions, and where further delay likely to result in deterioration to provide essential pre-operative or post-operative elective surgery care Despite not quite being 'business as usual' the downgrade from 'urgent / emergency care only' allows more people to seek Osteopathic care from Sept 28th. PLEASE NOTE You are required to fill out a quick questionnaire prior to treatment to screen for COVID risks and the above eligibility criteria for treatment. The questionnaire link will be in the reminder text SMS you receive at 2pm the DAY BEFORE your appointment. I am SUPER EXCITED about being able to open my doors and start seeing more patients. A huge thank you to those who have been waiting patiently during stage 4 restrictions over the last 8 weeks. This is a much welcome step forward to normality. If you feel you meet this criteria please make an appointment (0412 046 884) and you will be screened appropriately. Online bookings are now available
