15.01.2022 Overnight we made the difficult decision, given the current circumstances that unfortunately we will be reducing our hours of trade for the time being. This means that our doors will still be open early but we have chosen to close at midday. Monday - Friday 6-12pm ... Saturday - 7-12pm We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal following, the support we’ve received over this challenging period so far has been completely overwhelming and words can’t express how appreciative we are for your custom. It’s been our pleasure to become a part of people’s lives in the way we have and we intend to continue delivering the highest quality products we can with smiles on our faces! It’s been an absolute wild ride of a year so we’re taking the weekend off to relax and celebrate our hard work and making it through. When combined you’ve got a cup that tastes just like a slice of grandma’s Christmas cake! If you haven’t already be sure to swing by and pick yourself up a bag. We have a load of retail bags on offer to gift for that perfect stocking filler to insure you don’t go without over the Christmas break. ... Let us know what you’re using to brew your cup and we’ll be more than happy to grind to suit!

11.01.2022 Due to current circumstances we at Fundamental Espresso feel that it is our responsibility to put in place new measures to prioritise the welfare of both our staff and customers. We will continue to serve our community, however this morning when you drop by you will notice a few changes have been made. We will still be offering our full menu but these items will only be available for takeaway. Due to our small space inside our cafe we have chosen to move our point of sa...le to the front of the store and removed indoor dining in an effort to create a safer environment for everyone. We know how important it is to still be able to socialise so flexible seating will be available on the street for those who still wish to have a chin wag while sipping on their morning brew. These times are extremely challenging for us all and we sincerely appreciate the ongoing support of all of our customers. 08.01.2022 To our loyal Fundamental customers, In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided that it is our responsibility to our staff and local community to put a few precautionary measures in place. Although it is currently business as usual, there will be a few temporary changes as of Wednesday 18th March... *If you have any flu like symptoms at all, please do not come into the store. *we will no longer be accepting cash as payment, contactless card payment only *we will not be accepting re usable cups, instead using our Bio Cups. Please feel free to request yours without a lid. *we will have our hand sanitising station in store early next week and urge all customers to please use this. *staff have increased cleaning and disinfecting protocol of all surfaces and stations to ensure the highest standard of hygiene is kept. 07.01.2022 Time to get out the diary... This Saturday night, the 8th of Feb will mark the opening of Luke Viney’s first solo show Packed. This exciting body of work he’s put together takes a look into the world of consumerism. His work looks at items disregarded and thrown away once their purpose of containment has been served. He has repurposed and transformed them into ceramic giving it value and new meaning. We invite you to come along and join us as we celebrate the unveiling... pencil it in! More details to follow

07.01.2022 Today marked our first day back for 2021 and It was so nice to see all of our regulars again after enjoying a relaxing holiday break. 2020 certainly was a wild one but we’ve said farewell and look forward to seeing what the new year has in store for all of us! When we open the doors again at 7pm, we’ll have a stunning collection of his one of a kind vases on display. We’ll have beverages covered for the night thanks to the very kind folks of @buttonsbrewing @ghost_rock_wines and @loveyourguts.co so no need to worry about your thirst, it’s covered! 03.01.2022 This year marks alpress’ 30th birthday and we’ve been invited to celebrate. The store will be closed for the day on Friday 13th so that we can take the team across to the Collingwood roastery in Melbourne to help celebrate. While we’re there we’ll be taking the opportunity to show the team where our coffee is roasted and also brush up on our skills in the training rooms. We trust that you understand the importance of this trip, it’s not every day you get to celebrate 30 years... of operation. We also believe in keeping a strong bond with a supplier that has given us the support that allows us to carry through day to day and enables us to keep serving you a product of exceptional quality that keeps you coming back.
