24.01.2022 JUST IN FROM QUEENSLAND TRANSPORT In order to protect the health and wellbeing of the community during COVID-19, all practical driving tests will be cancelled for three months from Saturday, 28 March 2020. This change in service delivery is in line with Queensland Health guidelines and advice. ... If you already had a driving test booked, you’ll receive an email or SMS to tell you the test has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience as Queensland responds to this unprecedented pandemic event. All booking fees will be refunded for customers who had a driving test booked.

22.01.2022 When doing your driving tests from Cannon Park be careful with the Ryan catholic school on Merindo Drive Kirwan. This school is 40kms/hr between 8am and 4pm. (ALL DAY) As you come around the corner it is very hard to see the sign especially if you are concentrating on turning the corner. ... I have just had a student fail her test here, PLEASES BE AWARE

21.01.2022 From 15 June 2020, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will resume light vehicle practical driving tests for priority customers, in line with updated health and safety advice. As health and safety remains our priority, several measures will be introduced to protect applicants and examiners. Prioritisation of bookings ... Test bookings will be prioritised for customers who previously had a car test cancelled when the suspension was announced. Prioritisation will also be given to customers who require a driver licence: as it is critical for employment to access medical treatment for themselves or a member of their family to get to or from their educational institution for other exceptional circumstances. Booking a priority test TMR will contact all customers who previously had a test cancelled with details about rebooking a new test, when bookings become available. The date the cancelled test was due to take place will determine when you can contact us to book a new test, as outlined below. If the cancelled test was due to take place: on or before 9 April, you may call to book a new test from Monday 8 June after 9 April, you may call to book a new test from Monday 22 June. From your allocated date, you can book a new test by calling 13 23 80 between 8am and 5pm. When asked to provide the reason for your call, say ‘driving test’. Your test will be booked to take place from 15 June onwards. If you wish to book a test for a customer who has not had a test cancelled, but meets one of the other priority criteria, please direct them to complete the F5295 Application for Prioritised Test Booking form and send it to [email protected]. Booking a non-priority test Customers who do not qualify for a priority driving test should continue to check for updates at www.qld.gov.au/t/covid-19-transport/practical-driving-tests. Bulk bookings We will not accept bulk bookings for light vehicle driving tests. This includes all bulk bookings issued prior to the suspension of driving tests. 17.01.2022 New rules. PLEASE READ, BEFORE you take your practical driving test From 29 March 2021 hazard perception testing will change. Learner licence holders... From 29 March 2021 learner licence holders will be required to complete the hazard perception test before they can upgrade their licence. From 1 July 2021 learners will be required to complete the hazard perception test before they can take the practical driving test. Between 29 March and 1 July, learners will be able to complete the hazard perception test either before or after the practical driving test. P1 licence holders Existing P1 licence holders who have not taken a hazard perception test will still be required to pass the hazard perception test before they can upgrade their licence. Customers who pass the hazard perception test at the learner licence phase will not be required to take the test again.

15.01.2022 ROAD RULES REMINDER: Indicate for at least 5 seconds before changing direction from a stationary position at the side of the road. For most drivers, the rules o...f indication are second nature, but how many of us remember to wait a full 5 seconds before pulling away from the kerb? You were probably taught this when you first studied for your licence, but without a driving instructor watching your every move, this is a rule that can easily evaporate from the memory bank. Don’t forget, as well as indicating for at least 5 seconds, you still need to give way to all traffic before pulling away. Penalty: Failing to give a 5-second signal before moving from a stationary position will set you back $339 and a $90 Victims of Crime Levy. You will also attract 2 demerit points.

13.01.2022 Now that Queensland Transport is doing the test again. I am holding some time slots only for the test. I can ONLY do 9:30am or 10:25am On the following days: Wednesday 17th June Thursday 18th June... Monday 22nd- 26th June. These are only available to students who have already had lessons with me. Please comment below if you have already booked your test on either of these times (just no one else books the same time). Text me the details of your test; day, date, time of test and if it is Cannon Park or Garbutt. Also send me your booking reference number. There is possibly going to be Saturday tests, from what I heard it could be from Cannon Park AND Garbutt! With with Saturday tests I can only do: 8am 10:25am 1:10pm 3:35pm If I don’t fill these time slots I will open them up 3 days before for lessons

09.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE We are still open for driving lessons. Queensland Transport Practical driving tests are now cancelled for 3 months.... We will stay in business for as long as we can until either the government says stop or I feel it’s not safe anymore. My car is being sanitized and disinfected after every single lesson. I also have hand sanitizer available for you to use in the car. If you prefer not to use cash you can do a bank transfer using our phone number. Please postpone your booking for minimum 14 days and seek medical advice IF; You are currently unwell (fever, cough, shortness of breath); You develop symptoms; and You have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or live in or have recently travelled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19 including Cruise ships. Online bookings remain available for heavy vehicles only. We will contact you when online bookings are available for car driving tests. Bulk bookings Bulk bookings for driving tests are unavailable. Vehicle cleaning As part of the health and safety requirements, the test vehicle’s interior must be presented in a clean and tidy state, free from any rubbish, dust or dirt.
