24.01.2022 Christmas in the Hawkesbury has a very different feel to it this year. Due to the devastating bushfires, the bright blue sky has been replaced with smoke, ash and burnt bark have been falling from the sky and the water bombers flying overhead has become an all too familiar sound. Today I noticed this sign on the gates of a local childcare centre and thought it was just beautiful. Thank you to all the Rural Fire Service volunteers and Emergency Services crew that have been... defending our gorgeous part of the world against the fires for weeks now. In one of my other roles as a Primary Teacher, we celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day by working outdoors to design the ultimate Outdoor Learning Environment. The students said they enjoyed the space and the fresh air and I know I did too. 13.01.2022 Today is National Simultaneous Storytime! At 11am over 1 million children participated in NSS, reading Alpacas with Maracas by @matt.cosgrove . I was lucky enough to do yoga with a group of lovely children while we read the book!
