22.01.2022 Hello Beautiful People (on a serious note if I may) October this year will mark the 28th year I have been in the Travel Industry. During the past 28 years we h...ave endured the collapse of several airlines most notably Ansett which came 3 days after 9/11, as well as several wholesalers (3 major ones in the last 5 months) Oil spills, Volcano eruptions, tsunamis, Ebola virus, Anthrax, SARS, Bird flu, Zika virus, I even got Dengue Fever myself and now the Coronavirus. Here’s what I know for sure, no Airline, Cruise Company, Coach Company or Wholesaler is going to put you in harms way! If it is not safe to go somewhere, THEY WILL NOT TRAVEL THERE. Several times a day we are getting updates from all of our suppliers on what they are doing to keep you safe and what you can do if anything has changed or canceled. If your holiday is affected your Travel Agent will contact you and give you your choices. The media has caused panic and mayhem ( hello we have run out of toilet paper) therefore, It has never been cheaper to go on a holiday! My advice is firstly to turn off the news, stop buying papers, switch off all news alerts on your phones, computers and Facebook. Make a Travel Bucket List! Dare to Dream my friends and write down places you may never have thought possible. Call or email your Travel Agent and give them the list and ask them what super specials are available and start working your way through that list. Here’s something else I know for sure, Coronavirus or not, tomorrow is not promised to anyone! So love your life to the fullest take the holiday you have worked so hard for. If the situation changes we will let you know, that’s our job! Though it can be soul destroying at times, I love being a Travel Agent, so please go and support your local travel agent instead of going online for everything (we have been through a lot). Now more than ever, we have to band together by staying apart. For the travel industry, these are extremely difficult waters to navigate. My priority is to continue to deliver the premium service you have come to expect from me over the last 28 years.... I am committed to looking after you, my clients, both now and long after this crisis has ended. To do this, I have had to make some changes which will stay in place until further notice. I will continue to work tirelessly on assisting clients with existing booking, enquiries in regards to cancellations and changes and of course any new bookings for future travel when the world is ready.
