25.01.2022 Dear Customers, if any of you are in the fire zone please reach out for help if you need it. We have spare kennels and can find accommodation for cats. Please phone 94551059. Do not leave PM's

25.01.2022 If you are after well bred pedigree puppies this is the best place to start. COVID has simply provided an opportunity for many to get caught by scammers.

24.01.2022 Hello pool customers. The pool is closed all day Friday 29th September and Saturday afternoon due to Royal Show commitments. Thank you.

24.01.2022 Can thoroughly recommend this grooming service.

23.01.2022 Well done everyone. We have nearly booked out Sunday (2 x 30minute spots left) and have a few hours of Saturday to fill yet. Keep it going, we will have a great donation to make to the Australia Zoo for wildlife care.

23.01.2022 Awesome opportunity to get pups off to a good start.

23.01.2022 We are hosting a pop up nursery day 28th October. We will also be joined by Julie from 4 Paws and Friends Aromatherapy with her healing Balms. See the notice below and put the date in your calendar.

23.01.2022 Many of our swimmers come here due to injury and some are overweight and their owners are trying to get the kilos off. This article is an excellent source of information if your dog has a knee injury or is at risk of it (from being overly active if over weight). Key to a good recovery is prep for the surgery and also good rehab post surgery, which includes exercise, massage and nutrition. I recommend this article to all dog lovers but in particular those who have a dog wit...h knee injury. https://www.australiandoglover.com//cranial-cruciate-ligam

23.01.2022 A big shout out to our wonderful customers and a thank you to the majority of you. Over the past 2 weeks we have had a couple of disgruntled customers. The first one insisting the pool was too cold, so we investigated and the temperature was 29C in the water. We advertise that the pool is usually anywhere between 28 and 31C. There have been times when the water has been under desired heating and we are pretty good at getting it sorted as quickly as we can. Yesterday we had... a lady who didn't like a) other dogs being on the property and not being told other dogs would be here!! b) the fact that the water smells of chlorine and c) that there was a little bit of hair in the pool. I guess we can't please everyone. Unfortunately both of these customers were abusive which makes it unpleasant for everyone. On the bright side most of you are awesome and we love seeing your happy faces and happy dogs. Today we updated our website with information that we hope will assist in the ongoing smooth running of the pool. Please pop on over, particularly the Therapy Pool Page and let us know what you think. See you all soon FKR http://www.furkidzresort.com/

23.01.2022 Great news everyone!! We are back to business almost as per normal. We have opened up our swims for all time slots and for one hour swims. We just ask that you use the hand sanitiser by the front door and that you leave as soon as you can after your swim. Thank you all for your support through these strange times. Let's all hope that we stay on top of this virus in WA (Way Ahead - not Wait Awhile).

23.01.2022 Today is pretty hot but all the cooling systems are doing a great job. Your pets are all relaxed and cool.

22.01.2022 Very good advice

22.01.2022 GOOD NEWS! We have sought clarification from the Small Business Development Corporation and we can re-open the pool. Please NOTE the following. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!... 1. The pool is only available for 30 minute sessions with a 30 minute break built in between swims. 2. A maximum of 2 people from the SAME household are permitted at any time. Yes, you can still bring more than one dog. 3. You MUST stop at the gates and disinfect your hands with the sanitiser that is provided on the table just by the gates. 4. Go before you come :) !! The toilets are off limits due to the need to sanitise on a more regular basis and the fact that we don't have staff to do that. 5. Leave as soon as you can after your swim. 6. Be on time so you do not meet with other people 7. DOGS ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES. 8. Do NOT come if you are feeling unwell. Call us and we will move your appointment. Remember, you need to meet the current guidelines for moving about and essential travel. Please keep up to date. We are looking forward to seeing you all and your dogs again soon. We know this has been difficult for a number of dogs so we are glad we can re-open. Stan and Neridah

22.01.2022 Dear Customers, please note that Stan and I will be closing the boarding kennels for a short break between November 2 and November 17. The pool will only be opening on Tuesday and Thrusday mornings for that 2 week period so our regular customers can keep swimming their dogs. We appreciate your understanding.

22.01.2022 Another good use of swimming. Like people dogs can plonk on weight and maybe are suffering from over indulging at this time of year. Get some swimming happening. Fantastic for body and mind.

21.01.2022 Good morning good people. SOME GREAT NEWS on new things happening here soon. STAY TUNED!

21.01.2022 THE POOL IS OPEN AGAIN!!!!! WE STILL HAVE 30 MINUTE BREAKS BETWEEN SWIMS FOR YOUR SAFETY. DEAR CUSTOMERS WE ARE CLOSING THE POOL. I GUESS I DON'T NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY BUT WE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING AS SOON AS WE CAN POST CORONA VIRUS. I will be getting in touch with all of the people who have bookings to arrange credits or refunds.... We are sorry that your dogs will be missing out but the sooner we flatten the curve the better it will be. Stay safe, keep well.

21.01.2022 Anybody wanting to learn a bit about correct massage procedures should have a think about this workshop. Talk to Julie if it is appropriate for you and your dog (some dogs are better equipped to deal with it if you go and learn then bring home skills, not all dogs will feel relaxed in a workshop environment)

21.01.2022 A very good warning. Never throw sticks for dogs.

20.01.2022 Big shout out to Sean from Thornlie Pool and Spa Service (0413389603) who answered our SOS this morning. He has been out and fixed the issu with the pool. We are fully back on deck as from tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/Thornlie-pool-spa-service-142274139304720/?fref=ts

20.01.2022 Good morning customers. We're sorry but the pool will be closed this Saturday. Sorry to disappoint your dogs but we will be up and running again the following week.

17.01.2022 Clearly this guy needed one of our Ezydog life vests. Next time he should just book himself a swim at Fur Kidz Resort.

17.01.2022 Price increase from 1st January 2020. Sorry to our loyal customers but Synergy does not care about your dogs like we do. Our power costs have soared this last year and we sadly find we need to increase the cost of swimming to cover our expenses. From the 1/1/2020 the cost of swimming for 30 minutes will increase by $2.50 to $17.50 with the hourly rate increasing by $5.00 to $35.00. We will still have our discount for bulk buying in advance. We also remind people that if you want to change the time of your swim you need to do that at least 24 hours in advance so that other customers can take up your spot. Changing on the day is a loss of revenue to the pool. We hope you understand.

16.01.2022 ******EDIT****** WHAT AN AMAZING EFFORT We have raised $592 in pool bookings for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Bush Fire Victims. Thank you all for supporting us opening on a Sunday and for booking swims over this weekend. Today will be busy, we are almost fully booked for 10 hours. We hope you have some fun in the water with your dogs. PS let's not forget what has been raised through the donate now button below, another $172 so far. You can make donations via there until th...e end of business today. We will forward $592 via the Australia Zoo page direct. Thank you all very much Stan and Neridah Dear pool customers. We are opening the pool this Sunday 12th January from 8.00am to 6.00pm with all funds (not profits but funds) going to Australia Zoo who is also taking in injured wildlife from the devastating bush fires on the East Coast. EDIT: WE WILL INCLUDE OUR TAKINGS FOR BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY THIS WEEKEND It was difficult to decide who to hold this fundraiser for but their low profile about the help they are giving is probably seeing them overlooked for donations. NOTE: I HAVE ADDED A DONATE BUTTON IN CASE YOU CAN'T GET HERE FOR A SWIM THIS WEEKEND. YOU CAN STILL DONATE VIA HERE AND FACEBOOK WILL NOT CHARGE ANY FEES.

16.01.2022 Great news. We have an online shop for LifeWise dog food. Pop on over for the best dog food available in Australia at the best prices possible. We will also be offering the Lifewise Loyalty program. Buy 5 bags of the same size and range and you will get your 6th bag free. We have some stock on hand but mostly will have your order available within 3 days of you placing an order. www.furkidzresortshop.com

16.01.2022 Dear pool customers, Fur Kidz will be closed for swimming on the following dates over Christmas: 24th to 26th December inclusive and 31/12/19 and 1/1/20. We will be open all other days.

16.01.2022 Dear Pool customers. You will notice we have changed our available bookings so that they are A) only 30 minutes long and B) only available at the top of the hour (9.00, 10.00, 11.00 etc)... We have done this so we could build in a 30 minute break between swims to minimise human to human contact. We ask that you are prompt for your appointment and that you quickly wash down your dogs then leave. (Sorry if that sounds a bit blunt but I am not sure of how else to put it.) If you have traveled in the past 14 days or been in contact with people who have been diagnosed with COVID OR if you feel unwell we ask that you cancel your appointment. There will be some bookings this weekend that will be back to back. We have left them as is and ask that you keep in mind the times we are living in. Please keep safe and well. This is a difficult time we live in at the moment but with a little bit of planning and care we will be OK. All the best Stan and Neridah

15.01.2022 We use Julie on our dogs and she treats us too. If you want to be (or get your dogs) in the best shape pre surgery or to get the best treatment post surgery then she is your go to person.

14.01.2022 We don't supply boogie boards but feel free to BYO if you want to try this.

14.01.2022 Sure. You can bring your racoon to our pool too if you have one we love seeing animals enjoying the water.

14.01.2022 OPENING ON SUNDAYS FOR A SUMMER TRIAL. Dear customers, we are trialing the pool being open on Sundays to see if there is a demand. Our trial will run until the end of Summer to start with. Hope we see you here soon.

13.01.2022 Amazing athletic ability. Not sure our pool is long enough or our roof high enough for this dog.

13.01.2022 Dear swimmers and boarder, many of you come to us as your dogs have a high level of needs and because we pride ourselves in trying to keep our kennel and our property as calm as we can. For our swimmers many are suffering soft tissue or joint injuries. some come here because it is a safe environment for highly reactive or anxious dogs. I would like to point you all in the direction of 4 Paws and Friends Aromatherapy. The owner is Julie Edwards, she is locally based, highly... qualified in Bowen therapy, Aromatherapy and Behaviour - I hope I have it all. These balms are made from her organically home grown herbs. I have tested most of these balms on myself and my dogs and can say that while skeptical at first they are now part of my training tools. I cannot recommend them highly enough. No puppy leaves here without some balms that will help them through the transition into new homes. If your dogs are suffering from either soft tissue and joint complaints or anxiety then have a look. See more

13.01.2022 *******NO POOL 21ST APRIL******** Due to Western Power upgrading power poles in the area we will have no power 21 April which means we can't run the filters or the Chemical equipment. We will close the pool that day for obvious reasons.

13.01.2022 Today, being ANZAC day is usually a public holiday but we have kept the pool open and donated proceeds from today's swims to the RSL of WA. Unlike the RSL Clu...bs on the east coast WA does not have poker machines to fund them, they rely heavily on donations and support from Lotteries West. We are grateful for the service provided by the members and are happy to support them in this small way. If you would like to donate please visit https://www.rslwa.org.au/donate/ See more

12.01.2022 This was left near the pool yesterday. Can we remind people that no products are to be used when washing down dogs either in the pool area or outside. The product can pollute the pool water or cause slip hazard. Also the use of food rewards in the pool is also not permitted. I have been scooping a lot of soggy schmackos recently. Most dogs can be trained with toy rewards and this would be a much better idea.... Cheers

11.01.2022 Dear swimming customers. Please note that over the Christmas period we will be closing the pool on select days but we are also leaving it open on a few days so you can get your swims in. See below for dates. ALSO don't forget you can purchase vouchers for swimming. This might be the perfect Christmas gift for your four legged friend or someone who you think might like to try the pool out for their dogs. Vouchers can be purchased online where you book. (now that I've got that... little plug out of the way...) Closed 23 to 27th December inclusive. Also closed 1st January 2018. Other than that we will open as per usual. If you want to swim dogs on the 28th, 29th or 30th I suggest you book fast, 31st is a Sunday so will be closed as per usual. Merry Christmas everyone Stan and Neridah

11.01.2022 Please take the time to listen to this.

11.01.2022 Just a reminder that the pool is closed 24th to 26th December inclusive. We re-open 27th. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you all stay safe. REMEMBER: Your dogs are not walking garbage disposals be very careful what you feed them over this holiday period. Many of our foods can be devastating and even fatal to your pets. ... Try to keep it normal for them and if you want to give them a treat just play a game with them, take them for an early morning walk or sit quietly and brush them. Most importantly stay safe and come home to them. That's all they want. See more

11.01.2022 Exciting news. Stan and I are very particular what we feed to our show and breeding dogs. We are particularly interested in gut health as we firmly believe that only with a healthy gut will dogs thrive. Just like with us, the wrong foods, stresses, medications and life in general can put the gut health at risk and when that happens, the wheels really fall off. It has not been a quick journey for us. We have a few criteria that we insist on with dog food. - NEVER will w...e feed imported foods. The food has to go through processes that can kill off beneficial goodness but above all else it was the high risk associated with dog foods from other countries. So many recalls are seen due to dogs getting ill or dying after eating some brands. - AUSTRALIAN owned. There are a number of Australian owned dog food companies and some of them are really good. Some have changed hands to foreign ownership and suddenly the biscuits were not the same, dogs were getting runny tummies. It just wasn't right. -AUSTRALIAN manufactured - for reasons stated above and AUSTRALIAN sourced ingredients. The one exception being Green lipped muscle that comes from New Zealand. -MUST support good gut health. Probiotics were top of our list. We were also becoming more and more aware of PREbiotics and the importance that plays in supporting a healthy gut. HOW in the world were we ever going to get it all in one place. How could we get prebiotics into our dog food?? This may sound very scientific to most of you and it is. However, our aim is to raise physically and mentally sound puppies and we know that this cannot happen if Mums and Dads are not in peak health. Our search took us to an independent pet food review site and that is where we found LifeWise dog food. I phoned them and asked numerous questions about the product. They were in Perth so came out and saw us and talked to us about the product. We have now been feeding it for around 18 months and yes, we are convinced that this is an exceptional food for our dogs and our boarders (who are fed the same high quality diet as our own dogs). We are not sponsored by LifeWise, we have been in sponsorship before but you are then bound to feed that diet. We want to remain independent and free to change if we want to. We are now listed as suppliers and in the next few weeks we will be able to offer you this food at well below recommended retails prices. The reason we can do this is you will be ordering in advance and collecting during limited hours. We will also be offering a Loyalty scheme, every 6th bag (same size) will be free. So look out for the signage that will be coming soon and if you want to try it we will have samples available for you in the next week or so. If you can't wait and want to order now for next week delivery please DM us. We have seen amazing improvements in our dogs since we have started to feed this product.

11.01.2022 Please consider supporting this worthy cause.

10.01.2022 Remember this is happening today! Pop up nursery, soaps and balms, sausage sizzle, coffee van. At Fur Kidz Resort 45 Battersea Rd Canning Vale 10.30 - 3.30pm A beautiful day to get out and have a look at some inspiring garden ideas.

10.01.2022 Why swimming yiur dogs at Fur Kidz is so much better!!!!!

10.01.2022 Please take time to read this. It will be useful and may help keep your pets safe over Christmas festivities.

10.01.2022 Just saw this on the Rehab Vet's page. I know some of you swim dogs with mobility problems, I've seen you struggling with towels etc. This might be what you're looking for. Please consult with a qualified Vet or Therapist.

09.01.2022 This is a fantastic event and if you want to see beautiful dogs being shown, talk to beeeders or watch dogs having fun at agility events then get on down to Dogs West. Entry is free, food is available at the canteen

09.01.2022 See how good swimming is!

08.01.2022 Sharing this because it might give some of our regular swimming people some ideas on moving their dogs around in the pool. It is also a good testament as to why swimming is so beneficial to your dogs.

08.01.2022 A good reminder folks. Do NOT feed your dogs anything that has sultanas or currants in it. In fact NO grapes for dogs.

08.01.2022 Hello everyone. We have closed the pool during this 5 day lock-down as it does not fit the parameters for essential. Sorry to disappoint you all but we need to nail this virus so we can get back to normal.

07.01.2022 A lot of dogs swimming at the pool have injuries that could be soft tissue damage. Even injuries such as broken bones can result in secondary soft tissue damage caused by compensating for the broken limb. This is another great article by Julie. She is located in Perth and is highly skilled with many years of experience. A consult with Julie may assist in your dog's recovery.

07.01.2022 this is what we are about!

07.01.2022 Don't forget about Sunday. 10.30 to 3.30

07.01.2022 Hi folks, just a friendly reminder that our price is going to increase in the new year. Thirty minute swims will be $17.50 and one hour swims will be $35.00. If you get in now and book a few sessions or buy vouchers you will get them at this years price (just a little hint). Still good value and remember you can swim more than one dog for that price. Also remember we are closed on Tuesday the 31st December.

07.01.2022 A lot of our customers have dogs who could benefit from them attending this training session. Julie does great work and tends to us and our dogs makung it possible for us to do what we do.

06.01.2022 Pool customers please note that the pool will be closed for one week - June 6 - 12 inclusive. We apologies to the doggies who will really miss their day at the pool. Regards Stan and Neridah

05.01.2022 A friend of ours runs a horse agistment centre in the southern suburbs. They currently have vacancies. Well worth checking out if you're a discerning horse owner.

04.01.2022 Just a reminder that this weekend we are holding a 'pop-up' garden nursery on Sunday from 10.30 - 3.00pm. Great plants but best of all some great advice on getting your garden planted with the right plants and pet friendly plant advice available. Some hand made balms and soaps will be available along with a sausage sizzle and hopefully a coffee van. Come along to Fur Kidz Resort at 45 Battersea Rd., Canning Vale Kennel zone. The pool will not be open for dogs on the day.

03.01.2022 Some dogs are just too relaxed about swimming.!!!

03.01.2022 Donation has been paid. Thanks everyone xx

03.01.2022 How cool is this cat!!!

03.01.2022 one smart dog! Doesn't matter what you do in the pool, it's all good core strengthening for your dog.

02.01.2022 Dear Customers, please note that we have an old female kangaroo living at the front of our property. She is under watch by the Wildlife Network and we are taking an active interest in her welfare. I ask you all to slow down a bit when you visit here, she is blind in her right eye. She likes to sleep in our garden on the driveway to the pool and has been known to wander down the drive way a bit. Keep your speed limit to the requested 5km/h on our driveway. I would hate her to get hit. Please do not stop your cars near her so you can get a better look and please keep your dogs away from her. Kangroos are known to die from a myopathy cased by stress so let's not make her life more difficult. We thank you for your assistance.

02.01.2022 Great news everyone. You can now purchase a 'gift voucher' from our booking site. Great idea for a friend who you think would like this activity if they give it a go. Ideal Christmas, thank you, birthday, happy gotcha day, whatever gift idea for the dog lover in your life.

01.01.2022 We are open Saturday 30/9/2017. Hi everyone, we had closed the pool for Saturday due to another commitment but are now able to have it open. If you get in quick today you can get a swim in.

01.01.2022 We love Ezy dog products. A great Aussie company.

01.01.2022 Hi folks this link is an introduction to our facility with a focus on the pool and how to get the most from it and what to expect when you come here. Please have a watch before your first visit or just as a refresher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI34aze-OEI

01.01.2022 Dear pool customers. Please note we will be closed from 4th February reopening 15th February. We look forward to seeing you after our short break.

01.01.2022 Because dogs love water! What a well socialised lot of dogs.
