24.01.2022 The very gorgeous floofball Egor (@egor_the_little_monster) is back for his first visit, Egor stayed in our Bell & Dutch suite and we have to admit he didn't much like it! At Furbaby Retreat we do everything we can to alleviate stress that may be caused by the scent of other cats but the best thing to do when you are taking your furbaby into a new environment is bring at least one (or more) really smelly things from home such as a f...avourite blanket, toys or a piece of clothing or used towel - the smellier the better!! 15.01.2022 The lovely Bonnie has just gone home after her 2nd stay here at Furbaby Retreat Unfortunately Bonnie does not enjoy boarding and she had a bit of a tough time of it... While we do everything we can here at Furbaby Retreat to try to help our guests feel relaxed, safe and comfortable sometimes we can't find that 'thing' that does it. With cats like Bonnie every day is about trying different things, learning from her reactions and body language and building on the day before, ...and liaising with her parents to better understand her. And if we can't find a way to make her feel truly relaxed and happy here, then the solution might be that she needs at home care where she feels safe, rather than boarding... The Furbaby Retreat office is so popular with all our guests - whether it be people (and pigeon!) watching out the 2 big windows, just soaking up the sun, or sitting in the 1-way mirror and watching the comings and goings at reception, the disagree had proven to be a favourite! So we've decided to give up our office space and hand it over to the cats (haven't we all been there ). . Foll...owing the tradition of naming our Penthouse suites after special furbaby's, we have decided to give naming rights of our new Penthouse suite to our most regular guests - and this will change each year! Our first guests to be honoured are the gorgeous Burmese siblings, Ash & Teak. These guys have had 6 holidays with us so far, most often in our Bell & Dutch penthouse suite but we think they'll love this suite even more .
