25.01.2022 Christmas is fast approaching (99 days!?) and we are filling up fast! If youre going away during the festive season and looking to book your fur baby or babies in for a stay with us, get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

25.01.2022 No more treats!? This is unBOOlievable! Have a yappy Howl-oween from all of us at Furhill!

25.01.2022 Buried my pigs ear?....no idea what you are talking about.....

25.01.2022 Zooooooomin into the weekend

24.01.2022 The Easter Bunny, under the alias of Mr Greyem Rabbit, has been staying at Furhill for some R & R before hopping into his busiest time of year. He seems to have enjoyed his stay so we are hopeful of bonus chocolate deliveries at Easter!

24.01.2022 Bella the Shih Tzu x, Riley the Lab and Dudley the Polar Bear (aka Pyrenese Mountain Dog) stayed with us for the night this week and had a beauty make-over while they were here. Dudley seems to think that such a handsome fella as himself is deserving of all the girls attention but Riley and Bella didnt miss out!

22.01.2022 One of my favourite friends helped me in the office while he waited for his mum after his haircut today. At 13 years young, Toby is always the gentleman when he visits.

22.01.2022 A relaxing doggo bath and blow dry for little Henry Here at Furhill we are so proud to be able to support other local businesses, their owners, and their fur babies too! Choa Bella Hair

22.01.2022 Max had his very first haircut while he stayed with us. He was so well behaved that his little owner should be very proud of him, and of herself for looking after him so well. I am sorry that I couldnt give him the mohawk that she asked for but hopefully she thinks he looks handsome anyway.

21.01.2022 Ruby enjoying our green grass. Such a luxury!

21.01.2022 Our Mason Sani-kennels are being installed today, as well as the concrete dig-proof footings to keep the more adventurous of our canine friends safely in their exercise yards. For those of our visitors who are perhaps too big to share one run with their family member or friend (although our runs are substantially above industry standard sizing) or those who just like lots of space, some of our runs are adjoining suites, with doggie-door access for even our biggest boarders!

20.01.2022 Nemo is the well-known Crescent Head Veterinary Hospital dog-in-residence. She is a long standing, and much loved member of our extended family here at Furhill and gave our new kennels the paws-up on her recent visit.

19.01.2022 Our feline Furhill friends are having a great time in our new cattery. It's really nice to see how quickly they settle in, explore their multi-level apartments, munch on some cat grass, and then settle down to enjoy the views out of the windows.

19.01.2022 Although it may be a tad soggy, today we are celebrating our beautiful owner Mel’s birthday! Mel is our pooch powerhouse, and without her we wouldn’t be the Furhill Pet Boarding we are today. Happy Birthday Mel!

18.01.2022 Hi everyone. We are all well and safe here at Furhill however we are flooded in at this stage, with no access into or out of our property. All the doggies and puss-cats are happy and dry, although some of the dogs are REALLY keen on the puddles We forsee that this situation will continue for the next day or two at least so please give us a call or SMS if you have any questions or need to discuss plans or bookings. Compared to so many people and critters, we are very lucky, and all of us here want to send our thoughts and well wishes to those that are currently in a much worse situation. Fingers crossed for things to improve soon.

18.01.2022 Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

17.01.2022 And so it begins...with beautiful Maggie, our very first visitor to Furhill.

16.01.2022 FLOOD UPDATE The sun is shining bright here at Furhill, and the flood waters surrounding our property are beginning to recede, yay! Although access to our kennels has been restored the road conditions are still not ideal, so we please ask that every one takes care when travelling to and from the kennels. If you have a booking or appointment that was affected by the flood and you would like to reschedule, please contact us and we will do our best to fit your fur babies in as soon as we can!

14.01.2022 Happy Christmas from all of us at Furhill. Santa found all the doggies staying with us and they had a great time opening their presents.

14.01.2022 Bella and Indie are such happy girls. They have had plenty of company as the guys from Michaels Metal Mart finished off our outdoor runs. Judging by the smiles on their faces before they fell asleep they have enjoyed their day at Furhill Pet Boarding.

14.01.2022 Rainy days like today call for warm blankies and yummy treaties!

13.01.2022 Because of the terrible fires in our area, Al and Michelle of Hoofbeat Farm , with wonderful Amy, evacuated their beautiful herd of therapy horses and ponies to our place until it was safe to return home. We look forward to continuing the new friendship between Furhill and the residents, both two and four legged, of Hoofbeat Farm.

12.01.2022 Have a favourite picture of your doggo or kitty? We’d love to see! Send your pictures in to our email [email protected] and keep an eye out on our new Furhill Family picture board for your little (or big) ones!

11.01.2022 Do you ever get the feeling that someone is watching you? Thats right...our doggy-cam is always watching. Although nothing beats a personal cuddle with the pups, its comforting to know that no matter what time of day (the cameras have night vision), or where we are, we can always check to see what our visitors are up to. So to those of you doggies who like to destroy your beds, you can no longer blame your roommate....

11.01.2022 We hope all of our furry friends are being paw-fectly behaved at home because Santa's elves are busy getting ready for Christmas Day here at Furhill

10.01.2022 From all of us here at Furhill, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We are blessed to be able to spend Christmas with all of these smiling faces.

We still have limited availabilities either side of these dates, so get in quick!

10.01.2022 Our new website is up and running! Indi gives it a high 5! petboardingfurhill.com.au

08.01.2022 We have made three new friends this week. Nova the Malinois, Sheba the German Shepherd and 4 mth old Border Collie Molly. All three girls were the perfect visitors, happy confident and well behaved, and we really hope to see them again soon.

08.01.2022 Treat time is our favourite time here at Furhill Happy Thursday!

08.01.2022 A brand new hydrobath has arrived at Furhill from The Barf Shop. Our Wazi dog is demonstrating that not only do we look after pets here but we offer a full grooming service as well.

07.01.2022 Cleo and Chief were very well behaved on their nature walks, even when faced with the kangaroos enjoying our newly green grass.

07.01.2022 Our feline Furhill friends are having a great time in our new cattery. Its really nice to see how quickly they settle in, explore their multi-level apartments, munch on some cat grass, and then settle down to enjoy the views out of the windows.

06.01.2022 A couple of Christmas Eve quality control elves direct from the North Pole!

06.01.2022 After lots of fun in the mud puddles lately, the doggies are enjoying icy-cold Kongs in the sunshine!

06.01.2022 Tuesday’s are for tail waggles and ear take offs We hope everyone had a happy, safe, and relaxing long weekend!

06.01.2022 Christmas is fast approaching (99 days!?) and we are filling up fast! If you’re going away during the festive season and looking to book your fur baby or babies in for a stay with us, get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

06.01.2022 Although it has been very quiet for us at Furhill lately as humans are needing to stay at home to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe, we are still open and have still been lucky enough to have a few wonderful boarders. We hope that everyone is making the most of their time at home with their pets, and we look forward to seeing all our four-legged friends again soon.

05.01.2022 Treat time The Kong toys, which require the dogs to work for their treats by pushing the toys around, are great to keep them busy and stimulated. And yes, lots of doggies love raw carrots. They are a very good alternative to many of the treats produced for our pets which are often high in fat and calories. This chart, from Hills Pet Nutrition, certainly gives you something to think about!

05.01.2022 Excited to have received our order of new Kong toys. There is something for everyone...squeaky, bouncy, hard, soft, balls, tug-a-longs. Little Harry got to be the first to try them out and chose the stretchy, squeaky monkey. She certainly is true to her ratter heritage and made sure that she shook it until it was well and truly dead!

05.01.2022 Hot days = air conditioned runs and frozen pup-sicles for the dogs!

05.01.2022 HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY FURHILL! One year ago today we took in our first visitor, the lovely Maggie the Lab. Today she is back with us, along with her sister Millie, and lots of other doggies (as well as Reggie the Cat), to help us celebrate our first birthday with pupscuits baked by our new friend Delle. We couldn't be more proud of what we have achieved, or more grateful for the support that we have received from so many people. To be trusted with the care of our furry friends is a responsibility that we do not take lightly and next year will see us expand our facility so that we can continue to offer a second home for even more visitors. Here's to many more years of doing what we love!

03.01.2022 Rainy days call for peanut butter and treatie filled kongs

02.01.2022 Our admin building, which will house reception, a cattery, grooming room, bathroom (for humans), laundry and food prep room, is nearly completed.

01.01.2022 That look when you find out your FAVOURITE home away from home is fully booked out at the same time your hoomans are going away! As the end of the year creeps closer our boarding demand is increasing. We are beginning to fill up weeks in advance for some dates, so just a reminder that it is essential to BOOK EARLY! We LOVE spoiling your fur kids while you are away, so make sure to plan ahead and contact us to book them in asap!
