24.01.2022 Jess completed her veterinary degree at The University of Melbourne and ventured to Queensland after this to complete an Equine Internship at the University of Queensland. After this she returned home to Victoria to work for a number of years in mixed practice, primarily focusing on horses . This sparked her interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging , with a large portion of her work involving breeding mares and working with their lovely baby foals. For the l...ast two years she has been working in a busy small animal practice developing her internal medicine and imaging skills. When she is not sneaking in cheeky cuddles with some of the fluffy puppies and kittens, Jess can be seen regularly enjoying the sun at the beach or park with her son Jack and partner Dan.

06.01.2022 The lovely Deuce came back in today for a post operative check up with Dr Sarah. Approximately two weeks ago Deuce came in for a check up for some lumps in her mouth which she has had previously, which were removed. Her owner noticed she had some blood coming out of her mouth when eating, so knew that the lumps had grown again and it was time for removal.... Deuce had lumps in her mouth known as Epulis. Epulis is a tumor located in the gum tissue surrounding the dog's teeth . The tumor originates from the tissue that connects the teeth to the bone of the jaw. These tumors are benign. Signs of epulis: - Bleeding gums - Displaced teeth - Increased drooling - Tooth loss - Particularly bad breath - Weight loss - Difficulty chewing Deuce underwent surgery, knowing the extent of her epulis the plan was to go in and debulk as many lumps as possible, the surgery was a complete success and her mouth looks absolutely amazing. So great to see her back in today, wagging her tail, jumping around and showing us exactly how great she is feeling again. Such a sweet girl, always welcome to come in for cuddles whenever.
