25.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT! Help us, help you! In light of the latest restrictions put in place for Victoria by the Chief Health Officer, Victorian Government, ... From 11:59pm on Sunday 2 August, face coverings will also be mandatory for all of Victoria. The same lawful exemptions that currently apply in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, will apply across Victoria. These include if you have a medical condition or other condition that impairs your ability to wear a face covering, doing strenuous exercise or if you are unable to do your job while wearing a face covering. 12.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone!! As you all know the name or "word" Furphy is an integral part of Australian History. Our managing director Adam Furphy's father Andrew wrote a history of the word Furphy some years ago in partnership with historian and author Professor John Barnes. The book - Furphy: The Water Cart and the Word has been a great source of reference regarding facts about the Furphy History since it was published in 2005 and remains the go to source as well as bei...ng an interesting read which is available on the Furphy website and via the Furphy Museum here in Shepparton. The book has recently been brought to life in a 24 minute film directed by Andrew Furphy himself and using actors from the local area including his grand daughter. If you have an interest in Australian History, do yourselves a favour and check out the film. It is a terrific way to tell the story in a visual form and learn the true meaning of where the word "Furphy" came from. 11.01.2022 All in and looking fantastic. We were very happy to be awarded the project of fabricating the stairs for the New Shepparton Art Museum. After being galvanised by Furphy Galvanizing they were delivered to the new museum and installed by local company Ozweld.
