25.01.2022 Replacing what is lost....all on 4 arch hybrids need thought, planning to get the right outcome for the patient....a new smile that fits.... In this case we used a high performance polymer, Pekkton from CM for the internal bar with bonded titanium abutments, with Schottlander Enigma teeth. The bar was wrapped in acrylic and then customized with Gradia Gum composite.... the result.....

24.01.2022 So our beautiful fish tank is coming along nicely! It’s something you can’t rush....which makes a change! This week our first residents were introduced to their new home. 4 bristle nose catfish and a koi angelfish. In the best two weeks the last of our fishy friends will make an appearance. They will be some (4-6) Bolivian or German blue rams ( undecided atm ) 40 or more cardinal tetras to make a beautiful school and about 3 more koi angel fish. Updates to follow. *WATCH IN HD!

23.01.2022 Lab Life...made easy.. We have been trialing a Dekema press furnace in the last few weeks. What a fantastic machine. Clean, crisp presses every time! Confidence! Im a convert.... Dekema for life!

23.01.2022 Using the right planning tools and materials to suit a patients needs and budget is important, while at the same time restoring their function and ultimately their confidence to enjoy life. This case was an All on 4 restoration using a Pekkton frame work and gradia gum for aesthetics along with some great contoured denture teeth from Ivoclar. Its reliable, predictable and repairable.

21.01.2022 Lab build update! Paint going on the walls....cabinets starting to go in....floor coverings and glazing on Thursday....getting excited! See upstairs video in comments...

20.01.2022 Case of the week: patient had a long road to get this work done. We replaced an old pfm on the 11( right central) and made an implant bridge on the 21/22( left central and lateral teeth). We addressed tissue loss as well as the proclined position of the 2 centrals. The patient requested we do the best we can and make it look natural. I think we got this one right!

20.01.2022 An interesting case came across our bench. Patient wanted gold crowns but was limited financially. To do the whole case in gold would have cost A LOT! We came up with a cost effective solution. We used Pekkton abutments bonded to titanium bases for the implants. Next we had minimum thickness gold crowns cemented onto the pekkton abutment. Not only did we reduce cost but we managed to gain some advantages to the restoration. The Pekkton frame acts as a shock absorber on the implants which are not ideally placed. It is also 100% biocompatible and the highly polished surface repels bacteria and plaque build up. A win for us and the patient!

20.01.2022 We are so excited to begin this year! In 3 weeks we shall be moving into our new state of the art dental lab! But this is only the beginning of what's to come in 2019..... Lots of planning is coming to fruition, trips will be made courses will be taken and given, new ideas launched....the list this year is long!... Stay tuned as its going to be big....VERY BIG!

17.01.2022 Without planning you will fail. Not everything is instant gratification.... Full mouth rehabilitation, we planned for soft tissue reduction using a guide from digital smile designs. 2 sets of models were printed one of the full design and one every second tooth in the arch to new profile. This helps with prep guides as well as using the composite injection method for provisionals. The more you preplan the fewer surprises on the day of prep. The patient will be in provisional...s for a while to fine tune the occlusion. The finals will then be made according to the new data. New smiles....

16.01.2022 Life in the lab!!! The fish tank journey begins today.... first setup then water balancing....and in 2 or 3 weeks we will tweak the aquascaping and in go the fish....very excited today!

16.01.2022 Sometimes financial restrictions prevent patients from getting high end layered ceramic restorations. An alternate is a monolithic (full tooth shape) stain and glaze crown. This is both affordable and with new materials available to us, more aesthetic than in years gone by. So stain and glaze need not be bland, we can create natural looking teeth at a fraction of the cost!

12.01.2022 This weeks smile makeover. This case is an All on 4 with Titanium precision milled bar. Designed on 3shape for total customization to the patients needs. We used high end denture teeth to last longer and Gradia composite gum material to replicate the pink tissue. All these small touches make for a beautiful restoration that will blend seamlessly into the patients face. Giving them renewed confidence to live their lives the way they want to.

10.01.2022 A spin on the 10 yr challenge! Business cards a decade apart.... We opened the end of 2008 with humble beginnings ....we rebranded the end of 2018.... growth....development....on to bigger things.

06.01.2022 Another successful case inserted. By pre-planning a smile design with a digital diagnostic we can confidently know the outcome. In this case we had to change canines to laterals and premolars to canines to rebalance the smile. The remaining space was corrected with an implant.
