20.01.2022 THANK YOU, Orange Unting Church, for 15 years of generous hospitality (+ a couple at Kite St site before that). The end of an era & we now move to a virtual (wfh) office. Just a few more trips to the Orange Resource Recovery centre & we'll be sorted.

19.01.2022 Things happen: the 44 yr old hotwater service in our centre died. We would like some help from someone handy with a chisel, hammer and know how to remove the saturated, stapled masonite covering the floor boards (approx 1m x 2m section). if this sounds like you please message us or drop into the Fusion centre at 217 Anson St.

18.01.2022 We acknowledge the incredible design of our Creator who in the beginning decided that it was right and good for the First Australians, Indigenous peoples of his... land, to be resident here to care for it and enjoy the fruit of it. And so we continue the deep Indigenous cultural traditions of respect, servanthood and honour by offering our respect to the Elders, both past, present and future, of the lands we now call Australia and in so doing, we join with and will continue the restoring, reconciling and healing work of God within and between all the peoples of Australia. #alwayswasalwayswillbe #NAIDOC2020 Image Credit: David R. 14.01.2022 Following 5 years of service as our CEO, Fiona Gunnion has chosen to focus on her community development roles within Fusion’s work in Victoria. Under her leader...ship we have strengthened our systems and structures, and taken significant steps to develop resilience in individual lives and the community through local initiatives. We are now in the process of searching for someone called and gifted to be a leader of leaders, as we work to see transformed communities where young people thrive. Sound like you? Sound like someone you know? We would love your prayers and support to find the right person to lead our Organisation. Message us to find out more. Applications close March 14th.

05.01.2022 We put people before profit. Our Opshops have concentrated on being welcoming, hospitable, available to chat and listen, generous and appreciative of those who ...come. What does that look like? Mrs M is a regular in the Fusion Mid-North South Australia Opshop. When she first started connecting with us she was incredibly lonely. Her husband is in a caring facility and doesn’t remember her, and as you can imagine, there are some hard days. Now she has found a place where she feels like she matters, and she does! Whether its a cup of tea and a chat, a shoulder to cry on, or a community to celebrate with (even when the celebration feels hard). For her most recent anniversary our team had a morning tea, with cake and flowers. Even some kids in the shop joined in. She had a really good time. We have a lot of "Mrs M's" and the shop is always stocked with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, and a team that ensure people know they matter too. Dave Scheerhoorn, Team Leader, Fusion SA Mid North.

05.01.2022 This course will now commence on 21st July 2021. Please register online, for the 'Sydney Online' option.

02.01.2022 Following on from some thoughts for Reconciliation Week in May, one of our members, Malcolm Stacey (pictured) offered to purchase a Covenant Banner that the UCA... Assembly have designed for churches. The Church Council was very pleased to accept this offer to mark the church’s understanding of the place of First and Second Peoples in this land and to work towards further reconciliation. The banner is moveable and is currently in the hall foyer, but can be used wherever we are gathered as Orange Uniting Church. Thank you Malcolm. See more
