12.01.2022 HORSE PRICES HAVE GONE CRAZY! You have probably heard lately of some of the prices being offered, or paid, for top quality Quarter Horses. Just a couple of weeks ago a dear customer was offered $45000 for her beloved Futera Equine (I was happy to hear that it was turned down as that reflects the value that the owner has put on the horse). Wow! Thats a lot of money. Being a person on the look-out for a good horse is a bit like trying to buy a boat when the tide is rising ("a ...rising tide raises all ships"). There is a way to cheat the tide! - Find an island! In business there are two ways to find a good deal. Find a motivated seller or find a motivated buyer. $45000 is obviously a motivated buyer but a seller with external pressures is going to have to take loss in order to survive. The tide is now irrelevant. Now, I want to talk to our friends. Those of you who have "Liked" our page and those who have supported us during the last 20 years. This year has been quite devastating on our wheat and sheep farm near Mukinbudin (as it has been for many farmers this year). We are forced to sell almost all of our lovely horses. We have become a motivated seller. Bad news for us but great news for you! If anyone would take advantage of this we want it to be for those who have supported us. So, what have we got? Horse by sires like Radical Rodder (USA), Good Prophecy*, Classy Priority*, Cooscenario*, Camanchie Shorty* and Great Expectations (The Exceptionist* x Sweet Priority-3x national Grand Champ mare). Out of our National/State Champs and exceptional mares Stylish Stuff, All the Best, Futera Spinplicity, One Double Scotch, Best tobe Smart Etc. Some bred for pleasure, others for games, camp drafting. All have good conformation and easy to love. Price range from $1500 - $20000 but more importantly, we want you to get the best horse for you. 11.01.2022 A visit to Gumz - episode 9 (the final one) I had thought the tour had ended when I turn and see an almost luminous grey. Unassuming in nature and, compared to all the giant hunters I had just been looking at, looked small. I remember dad (an Arabian judge in years gone by) telling us that during cloudy or undercover venues, the Greys really shine and tended to do better than if it were sunny. In the under-cover stalls of the Gumz farm this seemed like it was the case. This ...horse had an Aura about him. He looked special. Certainly his beautiful head helped with this. However, if I were to be a little critical of his conformation, he looked long. Like I said this may have been accentuated by the taller TB types and this may give a clearer view on what type of mare would cross well with him. This visit happened some years ago now and its interesting how some horses stick in your mind and others fade. A breeders dream is to produce horses not easily forgotten. Athletic ability only matched by her alert and kind mind. This video, as it states at the start, is Justins first ride on her for some-time. Ive decided to leave it un-edited to give the most honest view. Its very long (almost 8min) but its not the same all the way through.
