25.01.2022 How was everyone's Easter break? We will be open from 7:30am today. If you're working from home, don't forget the car servicing. ... Cars aren't designed to be stationary for long periods of time, most areas of your car require lubrication to operate efficiently and safety and this doesn't occur when the car isn't being driven often. By keeping up your servicing you will avoid many problems down the track caused by not using your car as frequently. Call to book your vehicle in on 3260 7577.

24.01.2022 There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment around COVID-19, a lot of it you unfortunately cannot control. What you can control however, is making sure you keep you and your family healthy and safe. If you are using your vehicle, or about to be, one of the ways you can do that is to make sure your vehicle is up-to-date with its servicing, and, with the change of season fast approaching, now is a great time to have your pollen (cabin) filter checked and/or replaced, especially... if anyone who travels in your vehicle has allergies. As you know we have been open and operating, supporting our customers and our local community, making sure our business is adhering to the COVID advise from the government and health officials to keep our staff and customers safe. Ask us about our contactless drop off/pick up procedure on 3260 7577, or send us a message.

24.01.2022 How did home schooling go for everyone?

23.01.2022 There is one sign that every owner will recognise as their vehicle is in trouble, it is smoke coming from the exhaust. Did you know it can present itself in different colours; black, blue, grey and white? Black smoke - indicates you could have a blocked air filter, or the fuel injection system might have a problem (too much fuel and not enough air)... Blue - most probably oil has leaked into the engines combustion chamber. The cause of the leak could be worn out piston rings or valve seals within the engine. It could even mean that the head gasket is damaged, and that can lead to catastrophic engine failure. Grey - more than likely it is a sign that transmission fluid is being burned. Transmission fluid keeps the parts of the transmission system lubricated and also acts as a coolant. Any loss of fluid can mean potentially big damage. White - usually this indicates engine coolant is leaking. This could mean that the head gasket has failed, or that the engine block is cracked, all of which can be a serious problem as it can lead to fatal engine damage. If you're car is blowing smoke, better to be safe than sorry (and save your bank account further down the track) and book it in for us to have a look, call 3260 7577.

23.01.2022 Ignoring the warning light/s, might not be as funny as this . Call us 32607577 if you have warning lights on your dash and we can schedule your car for a service/diagnosis.

22.01.2022 This Mazda 3 had an issue with the blind spot monitoring system (the little orange warning light on the mirror when a car is sneaking up close to you). Our qualified auto electricians carried out diagnosis of the system and found the left rear radar module had failed - a new module was installed and problem solved This vehicle had recently been in an accident so it was all covered by insurance otherwise it could have been a very costly repair.

21.01.2022 This year, RSL Queensland are asking you and your fellow Australians to stand in your driveway, on your balcony or in your living room, at 6am tomorrow morning, to remember all those who have served and sacrificed. From 6am, they will be streaming a short commemorative service, comprising The Ode, The Last Post, a minutes silence, Reveille and the National Anthem. Please join and support them and the rest of Australia in this special moment. #ANZACspirit #lightupthedawn

21.01.2022 Your car is the intermediary between the outside world and your homes. The germs we bring from the shops and our workplaces, all come back to our cars where they dwell on surfaces. Thats why it is essential to regularly clean your car, particularly the inside surfaces. Start with the touch points like exterior and interior door handles, steering wheel, light and wiper stalks, seat-belt buckles, and gear-knob. Dont forget the entertainment touchscreen, buttons and switch...es. Wipes are probably the best option here to avoid any water getting into the electrics. Clean all surfaces such as the dashboard, backs of seats, windows, and particularly those that would be in the line of fire for anyone coughing or sneezing. For soft surfaces such as seat cushions, armrests, carpet and headliner, use a cleaner thats appropriate for the material such as carpet or upholstery shampoo or leather cleaner. Dont use any bleach-based cleaners as theyll likely cause discolouration. Child restraints should so be cleaned thoroughly, as should any toys or books you keep in the car as well as other loose items like USB cables. Wear gloves when cleaning and/or wash your hands thoroughly before and after. See more

20.01.2022 Has COVID-19 got your car hibernating? If you cannot take your car out for a run once a week, then you will need to try and avoid your tyres flatspotting. Add 25% more to the recommended tyre pressure and give it a quick roll back and forwards each week. If you store your car in the garage, consider dropping your windows a smidge for aeration and throw a cotton sheet over it for protection. Placing a moisture absorber pot in the car's foot well wont hurt either. ... Make sure you check that no interior lights are left on and give the car a good clean and a wash. Will your car wake up hungry, like a bear, do you think..?

07.01.2022 Try parking under cover, or covering your car where possible. Carsales state "The key is to wash your vehicle as soon as you possible, as the longer you leave it, the harder the sap gets, making it more difficult to remove and if left too long, will go black with mould. Park your car in the sun for about 10 minutes and let the paint and sap heat up, allowing the sap to become more fluid and easier to remove, then wash it with hot water and a double dose of car washing detergent and a soft cloth or sponge".

07.01.2022 In a lot of cases, the issue of a shaking wheel when brakes are applied is caused by warped or unevenly-worn front brake discs.
