23.01.2022 After my emotional response this morning I’ve decided I need to shift my attitude We are still operating with physical distancing and sterilising measures still in place. I want to acknowledge all those who aren’t as fortunate as us today, may you come back stronger than before. To all our lovely clients who’ve offered support and understanding *big hugs*. Take care of yourselves physically and emotionally. Carmen, Skye & Bethany

22.01.2022 We love being apart of sustainable salons australia Have a look at Willows amazing donation, her hair will help create charitable wigs for those suffering from medically induced hair loss #sustainablesalons #wastetowigs

20.01.2022 What a surreal situation we all face right now. The salon is still open and we thank you all for your continued support. We have strengthened hygiene in the salon and taken reasonable measures to try and keep all of us safe. If you are presenting with flu like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has, we kindly ask that you contact the salon so we can reschedule your appointment. Please stay safe and look after each other, we’ll get through this

16.01.2022 Today we say goodbye to Skye Hairdressing is no longer her passion but she’s going to miss all of her clients and today is an emotional day for us all. Thank you for being part of our family Skye. We hope the next phase in your journey will be rewarding and prosperous and that you find your passion for whatever you pursue next. Love you Carmen & Bethany.

11.01.2022 Update: as it stands hairdressing is on the list to stay open with restrictions, we still have to practice physical distancing and now maximum 30 minute appointments. So that means HAIRCUTS ONLY. Be advised this is likely to change very quickly to a complete shutdown. Something to consider - do you have enough hair product to get you through

09.01.2022 The Qld government has directed us to lockdown for 3 days. We’ve personally contacted all appointments for those days to reschedule. If you have any further questions please get in contact with us. Unless things change we’ll be back on Tuesday. Stay safe everyone. The Qld government has directed us to lockdown for 3 days. 04.01.2022 UPDATE: plumber seems to think water can be put back on in a couple of hours. Eeeek!! Salon services are suspended today due to burst pipe.

01.01.2022 Happy International Womens Day

01.01.2022 Government incompetence, playing around with peoples lives with no consultation with the industries they’re affecting. The 30 minute rule has been lifted. Although we are hoping for the best, cabinet will meet again on Friday and who knows what they’ll do then. EDIT: to be clear we support measures to get this virus under control, it’s just the flip-flopping that got us frustrated.

01.01.2022 WE ARE STILL OPEN! However we will be following strict hygiene guidelines. If you are unwell call the salon to reschedule. Physical distancing will be followed therefore there will not be as many available appointments, to help us manage physical distancing requirements we ask that you do not bring any guests into the salon with you for your appointment. Consider bringing a bottle of water with you to keep hydrated. Tea and coffee will still be available in disposable cups.... Bring a phone, tablet or book to pass the time as we can no longer offer magazines. Extra time has been allocated to each appointment to allow for sanitation and preparation of tools and each station. Hand sanitiser is available, we request you use it on arrival and check out. I know this seems extreme but if we all do the right thing we could 'stem the tide' and avoid more sickness and further restrictions that would absolutely cause more people to lose their jobs and businesses.
