24.01.2022 We are so grateful to those who are sharing their experience of recent months by completing a postcard in the Postcard From Home project running until the end of October. Cards available from the Fusion Cafe, St Marys and Penrith libraries.

23.01.2022 Hope you enjoy these last few reflections from Postcards from Home.... You can catch up on more responses by popping in to the Penrith Council Magnetic Places activation in Coachman's Park tonight or tomorrow night from 6.30 pm.

23.01.2022 We're here again! It's Thursday so it's time for Fusion Radio in Lockdown! Join us for reviews, chat, Tuesday Crew, Calla's Mindfulness, the Good Vibes News, and a catch up with the crew as they start to socialise again. All here from 4pm.

22.01.2022 Each week our youth workers spend time with young people, playing games, having fun and most importantly providing a safe and welcoming space in Willmot. During COVID-19 restrictions, we've continued this support with phone calls, driveway visits and the delivery of hampers. Just recently, we've started a Thursday afternoon hang out with boys, with lots of kids with their bikes from the local area coming along to hang out with our team. The cancellation of the Fusion Wester...n Sydney annual Fundraising Dinner has left a significant gap in the funds needed to continue this important work. We invite you to help fill this gap by making a tax deductible donation towards the work of Fusion Western Sydney before 30 June, 2020 at https://fusion.org.au/donate-fusionws/. You'll be playing a vital part in helping to provide a network of care, support and stability for these young people. See more

22.01.2022 For some, home still feels unusual and connection with others has not been positive. Thanks to all those who are sharing through Postcards From Home.

21.01.2022 The September/October School Holidays are HERE! Register your interest online at www.fusionwesternsydney.org.au and a Fusion Youth Worker will be in contact with you to confirm your spot. Get in quick as spots are very limited due to COVID-19.

18.01.2022 Feeling isolated or disconnected? POSTCARDS FROM HOME will draw us together during these changing and challenging times. Pick up a postcard from Fusion Cafe or one of three Penrith libraries and connect with your neighbours and your community by sharing a drawing, word or story from your experience of these times. Be part of this Penrith Council Magnetic Places project run by Fusion Western Sydney. Your reflections will help form an archive of memories. 18.01.2022 Nothing like a trip to Bunnings! Today’s purchase of sports gear and bike tools was the result of a generous donation from Bunnings Minchinbury. Thank you Narrele and all the team for your constant support of our work with vulnerable young people and families in our local area.

18.01.2022 Fusion Youth Services have started a new bike programme with young people from Mt Druitt. We've been given 5 bikes for kids who don't have one to join in but we need a place to store them. If anyone has a lockable garage or shed that's not being used in the St Marys or surrounding suburbs, we'd love to hear from you. Your help would ensure this programme gets off the ground. Please call Judy from Fusion on 0423320437.

17.01.2022 Beautiful night in St Marys preparing for Faces of St Marys Facebook livestream event 7 pm Thursday 25 June @ Fusion Western Sydney. Join us to celebrate our colourful and diverse community. A Penrith Council Magnetic Places funded project.

16.01.2022 This weekend was the last adventure for the young people who formed the first EXHALE. As this group now move forward in independence, preparing for work and tertiary study, it's time to say goodbye and make way for a new group to get involved. "We're so proud of what the young people have achieved. On Saturday they took everything they have learnt in these past 2 years and put it into practise as they guided the group through Glenbrook gorge. With rock hoping and river ...crossings, they did it all!" (Nathan, Fusion youth worker and founder of Exhale). . Nathan's passion for the outdoors, and his love for seeing young people thrive, has allowed this programme to see this first group of young people come through two year's of challenges and adventures together. Thanks to everyone who makes Exhale possible; Nathan, Eddie, Carly, Amelia and others who have shared their time, expertise and care of young people. Well done and thank you team! See more

16.01.2022 It's not everyday you arrive at work to discover a beautiful box of chocolates on your desk. Penrith's Imaginations Church delivered these beauties to show their love and appreciation for Fusion's work in the community. THANK YOU for your thoughtfulness! LOVE DOES

Go to www.familiescourse.com for more details and to register.

16.01.2022 We've all had to keep our distance and move through our streets in new ways. Perhaps you've observed something new about home life, work has changed or you've been able to rest more. Whatever your experience has been we'd be honoured if you shared it. Pick up a POSTCARD FROM HOME from the Fusion Cafe St Marys or Penrith, St Clair or St Marys libraries and share a thought about these times. Return it to the letterbox at one of those venues or post back to us. Once received the postcards will be digitally archived online. POSTCARDS FROM HOME is a Fusion Western Sydney initiative funded by Penrith Council Magnetic Places Grant. Follow @PostcardsFromHomeArchive and check out postcardsfromhomearchive.com to read how your neighbours have been going. (Photo: Designer, Kathleen Travers).

14.01.2022 We love this drawing. (swipe for detail) this local resident has visualised beautifully how one can be isolated and also crowded by their surroundings. Sometimes a house is both a home and a cage. www.postcardsfromhomearchive.com

12.01.2022 Are you a cyclist or know of a cyclist? The Bowral Classic is an annual cycling event held in the Southern Highlands on Sunday 18 October, 2020. Apart from riding one of the distances (160 maxi, 125 km challenge, 90 km Rulers or 35 km social) riders have the option to fundraise for a charity of their choice.... It is clear that as our world readjusts and responds to the Coronavirus, the social and emotional challenges faced by many in our community resulting from family violence, loneliness, anxiety, depression or disengagement from school have been magnified. The role of Fusion youth and family workers, chaplains and mentors is vital in helping young people and families to feel connected, safe and make healthy choices. By choosing Fusion as your chosen charity, you will be supporting the work of Fusion in its care of vulnerable young people and families in western Sydney as we help to provide a network of care, support and stability. To register and start fundraising to support Fusion Western Sydney visit www.bowralclassic.com.au. NB: (for tax deductibility purposes, riders need to choose FUSION COMMUNITY CARE (FUSION AUSTRALIA) as the charity of choice. These funds will be going to support the work of Fusion Western Sydney.
