25.01.2022 A couple of new "Trout" type colours on request. Didn't turn out too bad...

24.01.2022 Got some old lures from Steve Richardson a couple of weeks ago with a few ear marked for restoration. These three had some good bones with average paintwork and came up OK with some similar paint schemes.

24.01.2022 It's funny how you get inspirations sometimes! I was on my way home from shopping this afternoon when I got this image of a surface lure in my head. When I got home, I quickly cut out a couple of templates and knocked up a rough shape. Got a bit of flack about the shape but I reckon it will work well...

23.01.2022 Some mini lures heading south shortly...

22.01.2022 Some nice grain in these two.

22.01.2022 Starting on a set of 20 black/yellow lures for a client, not a popular colour up here but I had a few blank ones to start on. Hopefully finish the rest this week... Also only a couple of weeks left in the competition to win my modified "Luremark" SCUD lure. Post your pics of fish caught on my lures to be in the running.

20.01.2022 I recently had a request to duplicate a set of lures I sold about 25 years ago. Luckily, my memory must be OK as I seemed to do a half decent job on the shapes and colours! I hope they get some good Bass and Yellas on them.

20.01.2022 Wet season on the way, frogs are coming out!! Some surface ones for a mates nephew to use off his Kayak...

19.01.2022 A few more lures completed this week, A nice set of nude Tigers made from local Raintree timber salvaged from cyclone "YASI"... These will be donated as prizes for this years NQ ANSA Sportfishing championships. Also some 'flouro' colours requested on a Jackall and on two of my Teemburras , a "Richo" repair (bib replacement) and a resto of an unknown and re-paint of a Cordell "Spot"... The colours looked too good not to paint a couple for myself!!!... The flash of the camera didn't do justice to the paint colour so I took another without flash...

19.01.2022 Weather is a bit too wet at the moment to do much fishing, so I've pulled out my supply of Tassie timbers and started to make a couple of sets of "Tassy tigers" It's been awhile since I've made these but looking forward to completing them...

18.01.2022 Some great catches saved over the years or sent to me by happy clients.

18.01.2022 Been playing around with a couple of new designs over the past couple of years and finally decided to make a few templates. These are classic style Barra lures, a shallow surface twitcher and a deeper version. Made from aged white beech and alloy bibs. We've been getting some nice Barra on them including my biggest land based one at 96cms. I'll trial these latest two and may soon have some available.

18.01.2022 Competition time! I found this old "Luremark Scud" about 25 years ago at Somerset Dam and (for some unknown reason) bastardised it!! Dug it out recently and cleaned it up with a nice coat of paint similar to what it looked like. Send in your pics of fish caught on my lures to be in the running to win this lure.. I will give it a month to see how it goes.

17.01.2022 A pic I had lost. Phil with a nice Yella on a Lil Somerset cast up off the bank...

14.01.2022 Got some spare time on my hands at the moment so I've started making some kits for our upcoming Kids Fishing Day here at Taylors Beach later this month. Hopefully will get a few of them interested in carrying on this tradition...

14.01.2022 A few more "Odds and Sods" to fill in some gaps. Also some spares...

13.01.2022 Variety of styles to target Murray cod, Golden and Silver Perch.

08.01.2022 Wet season must be on the way! The Frogges are coming out... Just completed this set of Frogges for a mate, hope he likes them. Standard deep diver, standard with shallow bib, Lil Frogge and small surface Frogge....

07.01.2022 The rain finally stopped up here so I could get a few coats of clear on my Tassy sets. Also finished a couple others, the knotty Huon came up nicely...

05.01.2022 Big clean up day in the workshop after getting treatment done for termites! A lot neater now but still a lot of clutter but I can find stuff now without tripping over !!! Will be busy next week with new orders coming in. Don't forget the competition is ending soon and a winner will be drawn next Friday...

02.01.2022 First time in a few years that the stock cabinet is full!! At least I'll have plenty for the new year and can make a few more spares...

01.01.2022 Another small batch glued and sealed, ready for painting this weekend...

01.01.2022 Competition winner is Bailey Watson with his cracker Bass on a little Ebor lure... Congratulations Bailey... Busy weekend ahead with gluing, sealing and primer latest batch of lures. I've been using Pioneer Pro structural epoxy adhesive for the past 12 months and found it to be very good. A little thicker than Araldite and an opaque pink colour, but it thins well with a little isopropyl alcohol. My new sealer is Norseal epoxy boat systems and seems OK, again a little thicker than Everdure but can be thinned with Norglass epoxy thinners depending on ambient temperature or viscocity required.
