20.01.2022 If you’re thinking about composting your food waste, Brisbane City Council is giving out a $70 rebate. It takes about 10 minutes to apply online ... you can... buy from anywhere and you can opt for a worm farm instead. You can compost even if you live in an apartment a small bokashi system comes in at around $69, so costs you nothing with the rebate. Sign up for your rebate here https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au//co/compost-rebate-program

13.01.2022 If you're interested in taking part in the discussion around what could be done with Boggo Road precinct, this event is happening this Saturday afternoon.

10.01.2022 Did you know that there is an open Development Application for a large car park, shops and cafes in the green boulevard between Boggo Road Gaol and the Ecosciences building? We feel that this section of the precinct should remain car free, respect the gaol site and that any development should include genuine community consultation. See attached for some information on the issue and an amazing concept for what the precinct COULD be like if we all advocate for it. If you agree, please contact the state candidates and the premier in the leadup to the election (the state government can step in and stop this project). Also make your views known to Brisbane City council. A few residents are forming a group to advocate for the precinct - stay tuned. #saveboggoroad

04.01.2022 Received from Telstra today: Network Disruption Advice Telstra is upgrading its network around WOOLLOONGABBA QLD with work to take place over 20 days commencin...g 19th August 2020. Mobile & Fixed service may be impacted at various times during this period. Upgrade work and testing, if all goes according to plan, will be completed by 7th September 2020. Site Outages will be kept to a minimum during that period, and we anticipate to launch the improved services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we upgrade the network.
