20.01.2022 How you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. Did you know that our thoughts create our emotions? Since we have total control over our thoughts (I know it might not feel like it sometimes), you also have the power to start your day on a super positive note each and every day. It stands to reason that if you want to enjoy a powerful and positive day, you need to make a powerful and positive start to the day.... Starting the day with a positivity routine is one of the absolute best things you can do for yourself! There is an endless list of benefits to be derived from positive thinking including: Inner peace Good health Increased success Better relationships Happiness Gratification Your ability to think positively and maintain a positive outlook on life will have a powerful impact on your emotional health too. Today I thought I would share 7 simple ways to start your day with a positive mindset. 1. Be Grateful When you wake up in the morning, take a few breaths and take a moment to find something that you are grateful for, and give thanks to the people who love you for who you are. 2. Pray/Meditate Incorporating some type of mindfulness practice like prayer/meditation into your daily morning routine can help ground you and train your mind and emotions, which then influences how you react to challenges throughout your day. 3. Read something inspiring. Inspiring reading material will motivate you and get you ready for the day. Reading this type of material will broadens your mind and develops your thinking. Just 10 minutes per day will add up to a lot of positive, inspirational and educational information over the course of a year. 4. Stretch Yourself Out Stretching boosts your mood, energy and self-esteem. Exercise helps boost endorphin, the happy hormone, so it will make you feel more energized in the mornings. 5. Nurture Your Body Drink a glass of water, preferably warm with a squeeze of lemon juice. Be present while having a wholesome breakfast. You’ve most likely heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you make time to eat a healthy breakfast (lean proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains), you’ll have more energy throughout the day and a stronger ability to focus and concentrate. 6. Get Mentally Organised Grab a journal and list out what’s in your head. Separate your thoughts and tasks into various categories. This will help clear your head and make you feel more prepared for the day. Align your heart, mind and sprit with your intention in order create, manifest and attract it! 7. Plan Something Fun Plan something fun for the end of the day. Think of something that you love doing. Anticipating something exciting can bring you just as much excitement as the event itself!
