23.01.2022 Bit excited today, trying to pat myself on the back but I can't reach. Teapots 1, The Fifth Husband is now available for download from Audiobooks.com. right here: https://www.audiobooks.com/audiobook/teapots-1/503131. It's the old story, Free for 30 days or something. If audiobooks are your thing (and they are many people's things these day) then help yourself. Hope you enjoy it! If you do, maybe leave me a little review? Please!! Thank you!. Bye for now, half way through Teapots 2!
23.01.2022 Today I received a note from a popular marketing group called Ingram Spark that my first Teapots book, The Fifth Husband was in their catalogue. With great excitement and batted breath I dived into the magazine. 120 pages later I found it. Goody, goody gumdrops! There were hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of books in there! Enormous! Gigantic!. It really brought home the tale-so-often told that there are nearly 1 million books published on amazon every year. How can a poor ...little old author hope to compete? Well, I guess as audiobooks are dramatically increasing in popularity, perhaps my efforts as a narrator might begin to pay the rent!! Haha! Here's a picture of my very sophisticated home studio (!) Please note the dual action of the washing line (a mini hoist) to support the all important doona, plus the egg box at the side to absorb unnecessary sound, like lawn mowing, carpet cleaning, motorbikes, the train screaming past and the huge tricks thundering down the Bruce Highway. Plus of course, me burping, coughing, sneezing, swallowing, sniffing etc., all of which are removed in the edited suite. So in case you're in any way intrigued by this very ad hoc set up for recording audio books, I'd be happy for you to test it out with Teapots one or two, on Kobo now for free; https://www.kobo.com/ww/en/audiobook/teapots-2 See more
21.01.2022 Here we go again for all your Audiobook lovers. Teapots 2: Turning Back the Clock, is now available on Kobo. Teapots 1 is also now live on Amazon Audible. Still knee deep in recording Teapots 3, Hideaway House... it's getting there! Here's the link to Kobo for T2: https://www.kobo.com/au/en/audiobook/teapots-2
16.01.2022 Super happy to announce that the audio for Teapots 1. The Fifth Husband has been re-released on Kobo and many other audio channels. Teapots 2. Turning Back the Clock is undergoing the usual distribution and checking processes and I am busy recording Teapots 3. Hideaway House. It's been a bit challenging and at times depressing when on undertaking the audio narration I have come across little inconsistencies that I missed during the editing processes (as a writer and editor, i...t is soooo easy to miss these things!!) As a result for all those people who have purchased T1 and T2 from me I will be reprinting once I have finished recording T3. No charge for replacement books. In the digital world, I have updated all books (so far) and will continue to do so. Also as yet another result (decision time!) and owing to the huge cost of marketing books these days, I will writing and recording before I publish the next series. Anyway, that's the plan at the moment. But to stay on track, here is the link for Teapots 1. the Fifth Husband audio recording on Kobo: #teapots1 #thefifthhusband See more
11.01.2022 I thought it might be fun, to tell you where the title Teapots came from: Many moons ago while I was studying Creative writing, I wrote a bunch of very short stories. One was called Jazmine and was about a 6-year-old girl who had a fetish about Teapots. Here's a brief excerpt and then a link to the story, if you have a mind for a little giggle. "The other day I caught her with two friends who had tied a running hosepipe to her arm. My teapot daughter was watering one of my ca...refully landscaped petunia beds. Seemed like a nice thing to do but I am still worried. 'I suppose as long it’s only a teapot she’s being I can let her stew for a while. 'What should I do take her to the doctor and say, this is my daughter and she thinks she’s a teapot? He’ll just say, "Better that than a chain saw." Yes, it is better than a chain saw but it’s driving me mad. 'Maybe it’s me that's the problem, not her. I used to be obsessed with teapots when I was younger, but I was over it by the time I was 42; I guess there’s hope." Here's the link to the rest of the very short story. It probably should be called, 'Vengeance is mine,.' Please write in with other title suggestions , if you like. https://gabiplummauthor.com/jazmine-a-short-story-about-te/
