23.01.2022 Model manifestation of Gabriel Poole's design for a house that accommodates three generations supporting one another under one roof. We love our 3D printer and thanks to Sophie! Annotated preliminary sketches also help to explain some of the concepts in the design.

10.01.2022 Malcolm has now returned from his trip overseas & we are thinking we would like to take this project to the next stage I have always been interested in the possibilities of Shipping Containers & was recently on the judging panel for the RAIA Housing Awards for the Sunshine Coast, there was an extremely interesting Beach House by a young Sunshine Coast Architect & we awarded it the top prize. If we are to address housing costs, then we are going to need to find ways of produci...ng more economical buildings I would, in company with Elizabeth & Malcolm like to look further into how we can achieve this & blend it into our neighbour hoods, & felt that Containers might possibly be one solution, anyway we intend to give it a try Initially, we would like any of you who are interested to supply us with a brief of what you feel you would like to have in your own "Generational House" from which we will attempt to design a complex which might be a satisfactory solution to most of your requirements Our intention is to design to fit an average 600 sq mtr site & to comply with current building regulations We would then follow through Development of sketch plans to a final Sketch stage & really just see where we end up If you are interested we would like to hear from you With Warmest Regards to you all Gabriel, Lizzi & Malcolm

The collaborative exhibition explores th...e changing housing needs of society and the concept of three generations of family living together in a linked complex. It includes plans of an idealised house that responds to these needs and Elizabeth's playful figurative wire sculptures of the 'Souls at Play' that may reside within and around these spaces. See more
