25.01.2022 2020-04-01 @La Schlienger & Nicolas Palatino In the morning they enjoyed their breakfast in the veranda and as they didnt have any specific plans we told them about the beaches in Redcliffe. With out us knowing, they went around and in the afternoon contact us again to check if they could stay one more night. In the evening they bought Pizzas and had it in the veranda.... In the morning after breakfast they prepare their lunch for the road. A week later La sent us a message to let us know they took the flight with Qatar Airways that apparently was the only airline still flying and they were able to go back home to France See more

I think its fantastic that they have this service! Mutiara Perrin and I went to have a look and the girl in the Mobile library was very friendly

18.01.2022 Our VIP Jonathan Heckford was in his 4th year in a row staying with us, always for 6 weeks. But this year has been so different with Virus Covid-19 and when we heard that international flights were going to stop in April, he contacted Singapoure Airways and they confirmed it. After some tries they managed to move his flight two weeks forward... I was a bit sad but understand it. A couple of days before the new date he called again and there was no more flights! We didnt know when he was going to be able to fly back home....

15.01.2022 2020-07-18 A walk in the afternoon I went for a walk with my friend Julie and by the time we passed Suttons beach we saw a couple of dolphins and on the way back many sailing boats. 13.01.2022 2020-04-08 Time to say Goodbye With all the ups and dwons of flights cancelled twice and not knowing when he was going to leave for a while, ironically he found a flight for the day after he was planning to leave initially.... I call Jonathan Heckford our VIP at Gabys Hacienda as he is our guest that has come four years in a row, he has become a good firend and we feel more like a relative visiting us rather than a guest. I like the words we wrote in the guest book and th...e look he gave to the house keys when he was returning them. I think he was happy to be able to go back home but also looks sad to leave Australia where he loves spending his holidays. Hopefully we will see you next year Jonathan! See more

13.01.2022 2020-11-09 Gaynor We had for a night a lovely lady Gaynor who is a nurse and was here to teach a couple of hours in a school to teach Aged care. We found out she is from Christchurch! She accepted my offer for dinner and we had the opportunity for a good chat In the morning she went for a walk and told us she will be back soon ... We look forward to seeing her again Tuvimos una encantadora señora Gaynor que es enfermera y estaba aquí para dar unas clases de Age Care (El cuidado de gente mayor) Descubrimos que ella es de Christchurch! 12.01.2022 2020-03-11 Paula & Deo Paula Walker and Deo stayed with us for a couple of nights her mum was having an operation in a hospital near by. They thought she was going to stay for more days in the hospital so I went with them to meet her mum offering to go to visit her for a little bit in the afternoon. I dont remember exactly how old is Mrs Essay but she is so sweet. When we visit her she told us that she was going to be discharged so no need for me to come back. An absolutely beautiful lady

I love to see how more and more teddy bears on balconies, or nice written messages on the floor to give hope. We bought a take a way coffee and go back home. During the walk we received a message from our guest @La Schlienger and Nico asking if they could stay another night with us.... When we finished our walk we meat them by accident. 07.01.2022 2020-04-07 Mexican Dinner After Nicolas Palatino and @La Schlienger told us about the flight they found to go back to Paris, Jonathan check with the help of a cousin and uncle. After few hours of working on it, he was also able to get a ticket with Qatar Airways to go home. He was going to stay his last two nights with his family, so I decided to make some chicken tacos Jalisco style for his last dinner at Gabys Hacienda Before dinner Jonathan Heckford went with me for a walk while I run on another beautiful afternoon.

They started at the North of Australia but now with Covid-19 they could not travel to any other state as they were planning to go south. Also for the same reason it was getting very difficult to get a job so although they were having a good time they were considering the option to go back home.
