25.01.2022 It is so nice to have my vegetable garden underway. Let's hope I get some tomatoes before the birds!

25.01.2022 We are just about to crash graze our riparian area and thought we should check for cestrum first as it is so poisonous to stock. Although we removed heaps last year we were amazed to remove a whole ute load along just 500 metres of riverbank. Lots of tiny plants which were hard to find but I had Rocco and Danny on the job!

25.01.2022 Would you swap a days labour for a majestic camp site on the Karuah River? I am seeking EOI's for a small group of volunteers who would be interested in a working bee at Gadara Farm in Spring to help regenerate the river bank and keep it in pristine condition. In return we can provide a free nights camping and meals. If you are interested, please message me.

24.01.2022 A special paddock for our new girls

23.01.2022 Jesse and Rocco finishing the bull paddock

23.01.2022 One good thing about 5am milking is that you get to enjoy sunrises like this

23.01.2022 We welcomed our new twins to Gadara Farm last night - thanks Ben Williams

22.01.2022 Am I crazy? With the rainy weather I made a start to the kitchen renovation at Gadara by starting to strip the old plaster off the fireplace. I love the old sand stock bricks but I think this may take me a while! Good for the arm muscles.

22.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone - remember to thank a farmer for your Christmas dinner!

22.01.2022 Sweet potato anyone? Our first harvest.

21.01.2022 Our new arrivals at Gadara. We are hoping to provide lamb soon as well as pork so let us know if you are interested.

21.01.2022 It looks like spring at Gadara Family Farm with lots of new arrivals!

19.01.2022 Our favourite pig Princess having her 11 piglets. Amazing how quick they pop out and are running around!

18.01.2022 Have you purchased free range pork from Gadara Family Farm? 18.01.2022 Danny helping to slowly remove privit along our river bank by cutting and painting with glyphosate. From removing just one large privit tree we uncovered a sandpaper fig and 10 lomandras. Lets hope they can take over our bank, now that the horrible privit is gone! 10 metres done and only hundreds to go.....a slow process but we have found this to be the best method for minimal bank disturbance and identification of natives.

17.01.2022 Tomato sauce time

17.01.2022 Getting out of the heat!

15.01.2022 We need the bull paddock to keep this big boy in - introducing Morten the jersey bull. He reminds us of the black bull on the bugs bunny cartoons!

15.01.2022 A busy day today delivering free range pork to our great customers. Many thanks for supporting our journey into farming. We value your feedback to improve our products and services so we will be sending you a survey to complete in a couple of weeks....this should give you enough time to sample our pork!

09.01.2022 Some more photos around the farm

08.01.2022 I don't think the calves read the sign that this is the chook pen!

08.01.2022 Heifer Saturday - very tired pair!

08.01.2022 Our new jersey heifer born today. We have named her Eilish after a special young lady who is also celebrating her birthday today

06.01.2022 The finished product - one for now and more for the freezer. I am surprised we got any tomatoes in these dry conditions!

06.01.2022 After almost two years it is nice to be able to spread some lime to improve the pH (currently 4.8). Jesse had fun making this video (and driving tractors)!

05.01.2022 Getting ready for the holidays - lots of mowing as the grass is growing too quick! But nice to have that problem considering we were in drought the same time last year.

05.01.2022 Danny learning a new skill today leading to a greater appreciation of where chicken nuggets come from!

04.01.2022 Looks like we have some fencing to do when it dries out! Our beautiful campground is somewhere under all that water.

04.01.2022 Interested in some free range pork? We are currently taking orders and will be able to deliver pork to your door in approximately 3-4 weeks time. 04.01.2022 We are so excited to be able to cut our first lot of silage at Gadara. Only 16 bales but it is a start for when feed gets low.
