25.01.2022 If there is one thing Ive learned in my years on this planet, its that the happiest and most fulfilled people Ive known are those who devoted themselves to something bigger and more profound than merely their own self-interest." - John Glenn, American Astronaut.

07.01.2022 I took this photo at Taylors University Malaysia, after Mr Rawat spoke to the students about inner resilience. They asked him to pose for selfie, and I was in the right place at the right time. Terrific moment. Outstanding humanitarian work he does around the globe

05.01.2022 Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous 2017. Ive had a very busy 2016 One of the great pluses of my job is that I get to listen to some amazing speakers who I photograph at events. I learn so much. This year included the energetic Deputy Premier Jackie Tradd, Education Minister Kate Jones opening the EduTECH conference, the jovial Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove, the inspiring and insightful Peace Ambassador Prem Rawat and the formidably talented ABC 4 Corners jou...rnalist Sarah Ferguson, amongst others. On a serious note, I heard some terrible statistics from the International Asia Pacific Mental Health conference. Did you know that 10 people suicide in Australia everyday? That's higher than the biggest killer, heart disease. The suicide average age is 44 years (heart disease is early 60s) Its a national emergency! The largest number is the18-24 age group but middle aged men are increasing. Professor John Menzoa said that with the stresses that globalisation has brought "we are Ubering our way out of traditional work" and add climate change, all the upheavals on the news every night of war and refugees, rising prices, low full employment.... we are upping anxiety and uncertainty which fuels despair. We can choose to make a difference and have the strength to enjoy each day as we make change happen- what we do, what we read, what we buy and what we throw away ...and how we vote - it all matters. Have a wonderful 2017. https://www.theguardian.com//i-spend-my-time-writing-about
