06.01.2022 Great game to round out the Club's R U OK Day fundraising and awareness weekend, an end to end affair that saw Eastern Suburbs FC previal 3-2 in a thriller agai...nst Gold Coast United FC at Coplicks in Rd12 Football Queensland #NPLW action yesterday. There was plenty of attractive football on display from both sides in a high tempo affair. The game's only low-lights were unfortunate leg injuries to key United players, Momo & Dani Wise. All of us at the club, and across Women's football circles are hoping for the best for both Ladies. It was United's young brigade who stepped up in the absence of Momo & Dani. Anabelle Gibson's tireless performance, first at the back and then further forward, earned her a deserved Player of the Match for the home side. In the centre of the park Charlie Farmer once again showed her maturity against a fairly formidable Easts midfield. And Paige Taylor's contribution off the bench was big, bagging United's opening goal and getting stuck in to disrupt the Easts defence and create opportunities for herself and her fellow attackers. Hold your heads very high Ladies, a committed team effort to the end stands you in a very good place for the rest of the season.
