24.01.2022 There are two issues here time and friendship. I believe they are always connected. If you decide to spend regular time with your friends, your friendship strengthens. The time period in between can be long or short, yet when you do, for me, it gives me so much happiness when we meet up again. This also happens with my business colleagues. Initially, it can be very different because you are often thrown together through different circumstances. In this case, I find allocati...ng sufficient time to get to know each other develops into a good working relationship. We dedicate a large amount of time to this in our programs. What I have learned and am still learning is that listening more than speaking strengthens all friendships. My friends in both circles are exceptional, and their friendships are what my life is all about. You, Lesley, are an extraordinary friend, and I am so glad we are still friends after all these years.

21.01.2022 Do you have a set of tasks that you allocate to retain your clients? Are these steps recorded in your business plan? Do you refer to this retention workflow monthly? How often are client surveys sent out to see whether this follow up is working? Every client is slightly different in the way they would like to be followed up. Have you recorded their preferences?... Taking time to discuss these points with your clients regularly will maintain your edge in the marketplace. At this point, the finance broking industry is booming. Ask yourself, what is happening to the clients whom I am not working with? If I were you, I would make it a priority to contact them. Chances are they need you now or very soon!

21.01.2022 For all my colleagues in the finance world, Matt's "Talking Point" will be particularly relevant and interesting. No doubt it will also stimulate some interesting discussions. Enjoy!

15.01.2022 Well, Julianne, I think I have said this before but I am not aiming to be Superwoman! Yes, I have always had lots of energy. That’s just me! However, I do need to pull myself up when I am running out of it. As life progresses, it often becomes apparent so I have to call in a few existing strategies. These strategies have been learned from many different coaches that I have worked with. They are phenomenal people who include #Shannah Kennedy, #Shelley Britton and #Peter Cook and of course, you too, Julianne. Thanks, Jules for passing on your ability to stay calm and focused over the years. Thank goodness you have passed these qualities on to me.

15.01.2022 Please listen to this Podcast to hear about the devastation from our Australian bushfires affecting the lives of so many Australians. It will only take 11 mins and along with listening you can be linked to organisations that are accepting donations. https://www.mortgagebusiness.com.au//14140-latest-podcast- Unfortunately, some are using this disaster to promote their preferred political party not only in Australia but overseas. Big mistake. I wonder if they have made sizable donations to those poor souls who have lost everything.

13.01.2022 Suggest you check out this free webinar, if only to hear Seth Godin’s session. Your businesses can thrive in this current environment and you are the only person who can make it happen.

11.01.2022 Very proud to work with the #IFBF members who completed my Untapped Clients program on Friday this week. What a great group of exceptional brokers and their support teams!

11.01.2022 Yes, it does take time to learn what your CRM database is capable of, but you will never regret it! Most of the hard work has been done. From processing your leads, applications, pre-settlement and settlement tasks, your aggregator or franchise ensures you remain compliant with legislation. Do you add any extra steps? If you truly want to stay ahead of the competition, especially to retain your existing clients and referrers, make sure you insert your unique communication met...hods into your retention workflow. Load your CRM database onto all your devices, e.g. computer/laptop/tablet and mobile phone. When synchronised, the same database information is shared between them. It will increase productivity by keeping you up to date wherever you are located, i.e. in the office, at home, at meetings and while travelling. Yes, you will save time. Ensure you know how to use every feature of your CRM, especially your mobile!

10.01.2022 Nearly one year since we conducted the IFBF $100M Loan Book course and to date, participants are still consistently following our methods. They have not only increased their income and their database but continue to practice responsible lending procedures with their clients. Congrats to the #IFBF Brokers Forum who have a very switched on group of finance brokers in Sydney dedicated to helping their clients. It is always a pleasure to work with this ethical and forward-thinking organisation.

10.01.2022 Hope my followers can register and come along to this event. Great speakers and a wonderful chance to network with some incredible people. FBAA have organised a great afternoon.

09.01.2022 If you are looking for a great Friday night out in Sydney this week, The Hush Foundation is holding its annual event at 50 Martin Place Sydney sponsored by Macquarie Bank. Peter and I went last year, and the music and the singers were world-class. Just worth the walk into this historic building which turns suddenly into modern is worth it. Follow this link for details.

08.01.2022 Nancy, your question is very interesting. In fact, it has caused me to think more deeply about how many activities and projects I commit to and why I choose to be this way. While I was contemplating this, the saying variety is the spice of life kept popping up. Thank you for commenting that I do them so well. I am sorry to disappoint you however, I have to confess my work/life balance often goes askew mainly through lack of sleep! but I am working on it! I definitely am not aiming to be Superwoman however I love my life even with a few hiccups!

08.01.2022 Elizabeth, my main motivation is the people in both my personal and business life. I feel very fortunate to have met them, and I honestly don’t feel our meetings are by accident. These people give me energy because they are the people who inspire me. I love hanging out with them, laughing with them, learning from them and having their support. They have helped me realise that life has many chapters, and during each chapter, we have the choice to stay put or move on. I see this in other people during our courses and especially with mentoring. Hopefully, my journey helps people I work with get better at what they do. Some already know this feeling and need a guide to get them started. As you know, Elizabeth, the better the guide, the better the journey. I am always aiming to improve for everyone’s benefit.

08.01.2022 For all consumers and brokers who like my page, be sure to read yesterday's MFAA Media Release, link below. Thank you, Mike and the MFAA for representing consumers in this Media Release, consumers who have been looked after by brokers for the last 15+ years. My clients are brokers like yours and I know how hard they work to give their customers valuable lending options. More importantly, they become a trusted professional adviser over the long term and continue to offer i...mpartial assistance so that their customers can achieve their goals and save money. Nevertheless, for every obstacle, I believe there is a solution. I hope every broker sends your media release to their customer database. They need to see this information and they need to know that their broker is fighting to protect their choice. No choice and all borrowers will suffer the consequences. For brokers, keep up the great work you are doing and keep supporting the lenders who put the consumer first. https://www.mfaa.com.au//MFAA_Media_Release_-_CBA_proposal

07.01.2022 Thoroughly enjoyed being Chairperson for the MPA Diversification and Digital Masterclass Conference last month attended by over 700 top brokers. The calibre of speakers and brokers again demonstrated how committed the industry is to assisting consumers to find the products and services most suited to their needs.

07.01.2022 I am sure everyone listening to this question today will agree with my answer. Assisting your clients and contacts to purchase anything is a wonderful feeling. All the hard work you have put in is then worthwhile, especially when you share their excitement! For me, the buzz that satisfies me the most is when we continue to work together. I feel very privileged that people confide in me about their businesses' inner workings and their personal world. After all, both worlds nee...d to be combined for everyone to achieve a successful life. My Untapped programs run for 8 weeks, and my Mentoring for 3+ months. I have chosen these timeframes to ensure all participants can actually experience success during this time. It then opens their eyes to many possibilities and spurs them on to continue. And for many who are reading this, you know this describes you!

07.01.2022 I particularly want to acknowledge a post today from Peter Cook, Principal of Thought Leaders. I am sure you will agree that this post is simple but very relevant to whatever industry you work in. I attended the Thought Leaders Business School a few years ago and continue to be part of their network. The people that I met from different industries within Australia and from all parts of the world has been priceless to my practice. I hope you too can add these thought leaders to your network as well. Thanks again, Pete! #acknowledge #agree #today #thoughtleaders #practice

07.01.2022 Am very pleased to re-visit my loyal FB supporters. Thank you so much for your support this year during the illness and passing of my dear father. Now I am back on deck and over the next few weeks will be posting hints and tips to ensure you take advantage of the positive moves in the finance and real estate areas.

05.01.2022 For consumers reading my page, I believe this is a very important time to contact an Accredited Mortgage Broker. These professionals are qualified to reassess your current loans and give a selection of options if you are thinking of purchasing a property, a car or need funds for your business. If you do not know any brokers, remember I have a 2000+ network of Australian Accredited Mortgage Brokers and Financial Planners who I have worked with over the last 18 years. I have i...ncluded a recent photo of a selection of very experienced NSW brokers who have attended my last seminar in Sydney. I believe this photo illustrates the calibre of brokers I work with. Please feel free to message me your location and I will forward the details of a broker and/or financial planner who would be happy to discuss your situation current situation. All the best.

04.01.2022 A big shout out and congrats to all the winners of the "Women in Finance" Awards last night. Great to see friends receive awards. Thanks to The Adviser team for organising an amazing online event. https://www.womeninfinanceawards.com.au//2020-winners-and-

03.01.2022 You don’t know, what you don’t know. Unfortunately, this may mean you lose a client or referrer because you neglected to keep in touch. Often I hear comments that business owners expect their clients to contact them with any questions or concerns about their finances. Some loyal clients may indeed do this. However, loyal clients make up approx. 15 to 20% of your database. What is happening with the other 80%? We have been discussing retention strategies in this video series. Ascertaining your communication strategy from the first point of contact will ensure nothing is missed. Both parties will be delighted. Can you identify a service provider who has put this in place for you?

03.01.2022 While I know our brokers are still working hard to settle customer loans before Christmas, they at least have spent time relaxing and having fun with their peers - theme dress up as a celebrity. Thanks, #IFBF for hosting a great party! See a few highlights in the Album below.

01.01.2022 Yes, referrers are just as important as your clients, and I know that almost every broker has at least one referrer. Of course, clients are good referrers as well. However, successful brokers are unlikely to rely on them completely. Over the past 2 years, I have been analysing relationships between finance industry referrers and brokers. Interviewing both sides on how they serve each other and using experienced brokers to test it out has allowed me to complete my new referrer program. I can assure you that it will benefit both businesses. Please send an email to [email protected] to register your interest. Programs will commence shortly.
