20.01.2022 On behalf of the Gain Hearing Network team we would like to update you on our business activities during these difficult economic times. New Business Development Manager - I would like to formally introduce Leith Malycha who has recently joined Gain Hearing as our first full time employee. Leith joined in March 2020 as the National Business Development Manager and will take on the day to day management for the Buying Group. Leith comes to Gain Hearing many years’ experience ...with managing Buying Groups and his appointment will strengthen Gain Hearing, and also allow the Buying Group to go to the next level. Stephen Logan will be stepping down as General Manager, however, he will be continuing to work closely with Leith in an advisory role. We are proud to have broadened the purchasing opportunities for the independent market and I believe that Leith’s appointment is necessary for the Buying Group to grow and also offer our Affiliates many more business services. HSP Appointed Supplier Application we are pleased to inform the market that the Gain Hearing Network has been accepted by the Hearing Services Program as an Appointed Supplier under the HSP contract. We are currently completing the paperwork process required by the HSP and this should be finalised very shortly. Gain Hearing Financial Health although we have seen our sales through the Buying Group drop in line with the general market down turn, we have and continue to manage our cash position carefully. To maintain our relationships with suppliers now and into the future, we have maintained our payments to the suppliers YTD. Independent Business and Financial Advice We fully understand that the current business environment is extremely difficult for everyone. The hearing industry has its own unique challenges and getting business advice that relates specifically to the hearing industry is limited. At Gain Hearing, we work very closely with Propeller Business Advisory and they have been very generous with their business assistance for small business owners in the hearing sector. Propeller’s business principle is Katie Bryan and if you would like to get a second opinion regarding your business’s financial position and the also the various assistance packages available, we would be very happy to coordinate a meeting on behalf. Thank you again for your support and when we come through the other side of this crisis (which we will) we look forward to working with all our current and new Affiliates to assist you with your business success. All the best
15.01.2022 Hi all, I hope this email finds you in good spirits and coping with the changes in the market and society. At Gain Hearing we work closely with the team at Propeller Advisory and this week they presented a Q&A webinar on the new Job Keeper package, that was recently passed by the Federal Government last week. Although there are still many questions to be answered on the eligibility tests, if you would like to have a copy of the presentation from the Webinar please message me ...directly. The presentation is for your information only and we would strongly recommend that you speak with a business/ financial advisor on how the new Job Keeper package will affect your business. Alternatively, Katie Bryan from Propeller Advisory would also be happy to arrange a personal consultation with you in regard to the Job Keeper legislation and your business. On behalf of Leith and Gain Hearing team, we would like to wish you all the best and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

10.01.2022 Gain Hearing Network Approved as a HSP Device Supplier In this time of great uncertainty during the current COVID19 crisis, we understand that HSP Service Provider contract compliance, although always important is not front of mind. However, we are extremely pleased to inform our Gain Hearing members that today we have been notified by the HSP that our application for registration for Gain Hearing Network Pty Ltd to be a device supplier under the Australian Government Heari...ng Services Program has been approved. This means that all Gain Hearing members will be compliant with the new contract if they purchase through Gain Hearing. This is great news for both Gain Hearing and also for the Gain Hearing Buying Group members. This HSP approval is another step in securing the Gain Hearing Buying Group as a true purchasing alternative, which will enable better pricing for the independent market now and into the future. Thank you and on behalf of the Gain Hearing Network we would like to wish you, your team and your business all the best. For more information about Gain Hearing and the benefits on membership, please email us at [email protected]
05.01.2022 Are You confused about the Job Keeper Legislation and your Advice? Over the past week, I have been speaking with several businesses about their individual advice on the Job Keeper Legislation and it appears to be mixed. Some business owners are told they will be eligible and others have been told they won’t! Confusing all round. The general market feedback is that business turnover is down between 50-100% across the market and therefore this government support package could b...e a lifeline for many small business owners. Following this feedback, I have subsequently spoken with Katie Bryan from Propeller Advisory and discussed the feedback from the market on the Job Keeper program. As a result of our discussion, Katie has agreed to hold a Q & A session to discuss the Job keeper Legislation for hearing business owners. Due to her limited availability, Katie will dial into the HBA Business Owners forum on Thursday evening from 7 15pm to answer questions. Please contact HBA for details of the Thursday meeting, which commences at 7pm via Zoom Conferencing platform. If you are not a member of HBA, then please contact me directly and I will try to arrange an alternative on your behalf. This session is complimentary and even if you have had advice, I would strongly suggest that you dial into the meeting at 7pm this Thursday 23rd April. Thank you and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Stay safe! Stephen Logan
