23.01.2022 Hi All, Unfortunately, the golf course, driving range and restaurant will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd December. Despite the best efforts from the ground staff, there is still too much water lying on the course to safely get around. The ground staff have been very busy over the last couple of days trying to clean up and keep up with the mowing. When we do reopen the course it will be looking fantastic. At this stage, we are still hoping to reopen the course on Thursday ...24th December. A decision will be made lunchtime tomorrow as to when we will reopen the course. The golf shop will be open from 7am to 3pm for any last minute Christmas shopping! If we don't get a chance to see you before Christmas, we hope you all have a great Christmas day. We would like to thank you for your support through 2020 and are excited for a great new year ahead.

17.01.2022 Hello Members & Guests, The course will reopen from tomorrow, 13th April 2021. The weather has been kind over the past few days with holes 1,2, 9-18 playable. There is still a lot of water laying around so please be as careful as possible when out there. There will be NO TIMESHEET, so you can just come out and play at anytime. We are hoping for the full course to be open on Wednesday and back to normal timesheets. This will be confirmed tomorrow.... The clubhouse will just be open for coffee tomorrow between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm. Hopefully the rain has finished and things can get back to normal as soon as possible. Regards, GG Team

17.01.2022 Hello Members & Guests, Happy Friday! We hope you have all enjoyed the first round of the Masters. Although the course remains closed, this lovely warm and windy weather is accelerating the drying out of the course splendidly. The grounds staff have been busy, giving the greens some much needed tlc. They have had a mini renovation today, to assist in their recovery from the wet weather. This involved a marginal aeration to allow a nutrient treatment to be applied below the su...rface. No sand has been used, so upon reopening the putting surface will be unaffected and rolling well. Subject to the continuation of this optimal drying weather our course superintendant Brad is confident for a partial reopening on Tuesday the 13th April, with 18 holes by Thursday the 15th of April. 17.01.2022 Dear Members and Guests Unfortunately there is a technical issue and we will be unable to send out a Gazette this week. What a great week of weather we have had, it is fantastic to be back open. The grounds staff have been working extremely hard to get the course back to a playable condition. As the water continues to subside the course will only get better, it is still a bit wet around the edges. So over the coming weeks it is important that all members and guests do their ...best to look after the course and stay out of all wet areas, keeping the carts on the paths as much as possible. This will assist the recovery of the course as the weather has cooled down significantly and the grass does not grow as fast. If we do our best to look after the course now we will have good playing conditions for the winter. Please be aware that tomorrows event (Saturday the 17th April) will be a Single Stableford. The Gainsborough Greens Open will be postponed till Saturday the 24th April. We hope you all have a great weekend. Matt Kiernan Head Professional

17.01.2022 Course Update - Thursday 24th December 2020 Finally, good news!! The golf course and driving range will be back open on Saturday 26th December. We must give a huge thank you to the maintenance team for the effort they have put in, to bring the course back into a playable condition. The 4th hole will be out of play and spare par 3 will be in play for a while. The Saturday Competition will be running as normal. ... The bar will open from 9:30 am till 4:00 pm and the drinks cart will also be operating as normal. However, the kitchen will remain closed on the 26th December and reopen on Sunday 27th December at 8 am for breakfast and lunch.
