25.01.2022 Our client is a highly reputable and leading Textile organisation, based in the south-eastern suburbs, that is seeking Machine Operators (for various departments) for immediate commencement, as follows; TEXTILE WEAVER - Afternoon shift You will operate Textile Weaving looms and ensure weft yarns are placed correctly as well as placing cones of weft yarn on weft carriers. Must have the capacity to lift yarn cones ranging from 1.5 - 5kg... KNITTING MACHINE OPERATOR - Night shift Operate Circular Knitting Machines that require inherent manual handling (and reaching) - placing cones of yarn on carriers, adjusting re- starting, repair yarns on machines. You will frequently check the quality of fabric and use a double hand lift to move cones from boxes (weighing up to 8kg). SECTIONAL WARPER - Afternoon shift Operating, setting and adjusting Section Warper as well as loading and un-loading creel with cones. Required to use a pallet truck/hand operated Forklift. This position requires alot of repetitive movement, knowledge of various natural and man-made fibres/yarn and good numeracy sills. Other duties within the dye preparation department may also be required. CHEMICAL MIXING OPERATOR - WITH FORKLIFT LICENCE - Day shift You will mix chemicals, prepare vessels, clean and decant incoming chemicals. You will need to possess excellent computer skills and must hold a Forklift licence. Hand eye co-ordination and lifting is frequent. Experienced Operator who is used to lifting up to 20kg. LAMINATION (LACOM) MACHINE OPERATOR - Day shift Set up and operate machine for lamination, thoroughly clean machine, look for faults, use hand forklift and overhead crane. Highly repetitive operation and carrying out quality checks, so attention to detail is imperative for this position.
