25.01.2022 Hey Guys Just an update on pool lounges in Victoria. Unfortunately we are classified as an entertainment venue, different to a bar or pub. We are grouped with the likes of Pokies, Casino's, night clubs and brothels, therefore this round of easing of restrictions means nothing to us. On the positive side, our new address at 230 High St Preston did receive provisional approval from the Darebin City Council for our planning permit. Unfortunately the church next door has i...ndicated that they are considering to take this matter further, so at this stage best case scenario is planning permit by November and with renovation team lined up, opening in December or early Jan 2021. 25.01.2022 Dear Customers, Due to a scheduled electric work that will be carried out this Sunday the 8th of March. There would be no power supplied on our block between 9am-4.30pm. So galaxy will be open from 5pm-2am for this Sunday. The change of hours of operation is ONLY FOR THIS SUNDAY, THE 8TH OF MARCH. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCES! Hope to see you all after 5pm. Thanks

21.01.2022 Hey Guys, Just an update on Galaxy Pool Lounge Preston. As many of you guys are aware, we tried to use this lock-down to relocate to a new and better property to 230 High St Preston, which is only 800m down the street closer to Bell St and Red Rooster. STILL ON HIGH STREET.... In order to turn the property into a pool lounge it takes lots of permits and licensing from the Darebin City Council. Due to Covid-19, there's been huge delays on those permit approvals, so we still haven't obtained all the necessary documents for us to reopen! I understand there's an ease of restrictions which as allow most pool lounges to be back open, but our issue now is the licensing and permits and not so much the restrictions anymore. We will try our best to get it up and running as soon as possible, thanks for your patience. From all of us at Galaxy Preston, take care and stay safe.

18.01.2022 A famous quote by Andy Warhol goes; They always say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. I think it’s fair to say we’ve learned that lesson the hard way in the process of transferring 14.4 tonnes of pool/snooker tables and 4 tonnes of arcade games to our brand new facility over the last few days. The doors are closed on 440 High Street and a new chapter begins for Galaxy very soon @ 230 High Street!! Keep your eyes peeled for updates, we’re so excited to see you all!!

14.01.2022 Hey friends, I know it's been tough on everyone with this stage 4 lock-down. Especially with the extension and the long road-map out. Please look after yourselves, stay safe. For some of us, it's been a while since we had to listen to our mum nagging and dad telling you about his once upon a time, with no where to escape. LOL. But let's be honest, it's giving us a opportunity to really spend time with our family, so why not make the most of it. As for the new galaxy, we are... still progressing slowly. There's a church linked with a non for profit organisation next door that is not too happy with us moving in but it will be resolved, just means more delays. The town planning permit is the hardest and the longest process in getting it up and running, looking at the road-map we would be luck to re-open by November, in the mean time take care of yourself and each other. WEAR YOUR MASK AND LEARN TO SHOP ONLINE, with no where to go, I've never missed a delivery... haha. Regards Andy

09.01.2022 Hey guys, As you all know state government placed a restriction on entertainment businesses last Sunday demanding a total shut down. Therefore galaxy will need to close for business TEMPORARILY until further notice. TODAY MONDAY THE 23RD OF MARCH IS OUR LAST DAY UNTIL GOVERNMENT LIFTS THE ORDER so drop by for a game before we close.... PS. We will be back as soon as this virus passes. 08.01.2022 If you happen to be driving along past our shop on High Street Preston, you may notice these signs on our current shop and on the shop we’re moving into 800 metres down the road! Galaxy is using the extended break during ‘iso’ to relocate our pool, snooker and arcade hall to a new and greatly improved location.
