16.01.2022 This year National Child Protection Week celebrates its 30th year with the theme: Putting children first At Sydney Catholic Schools, it is our Child Protectio...n Team who are on the front line providing expert advice to our 150 primary and secondary schools on student safety and wellbeing matters. Team member, psychologist Sandra Reynolds, says it is essential students, parents and carers feel confident the team understands what makes a school a safe place. We do this in a few ways, but what it comes down to is screening the people we allow into our schools, educating staff about appropriate boundaries,following up on concerns that are reported to us, and giving our students a voice with the confidence that whatever they tell us will be listened to, Ms Reynolds said.
