19.01.2022 Today's article in the Financial Review "Foreign buyers fork out for Aboriginal art" by Peter Fish highlights the resurgence and desirability of top tier Modern Australian Aboriginal Art world wide. Both Emily Kame Kngawarreye and Clifford Possum feature prominently in the article as two indigenous modern painters who's work attracts particular attention from art lovers and investors alike. Emily topped the current sale with her 120 cm X 200 cm painting "Kame Summer Aweyle" ...fetching $225,700 at auction and another work , entitled "Arlatyeye- Wildflower Dreaming", measuring - 98cm X 138cm selling for $57,600. Clifford Possum's work measuring 128cm X 2.96 cm (untitled) sold for $79,300. Both these artists are also currently being exhibited at Gallery Elysium in Hawthorn until Jan 31 in an extremely rare Commercial Gallery exhibition of top tier modern indigenous artists from the Ebes Collection .
