22.01.2022 As of Friday 19 February, Gallery 54 will be purely an online presence and no longer affiliated with Potts Point Galleries. The display and sale of art in a commercial retail space was an experiment that we explored and this was an interesting experience. As artists, we found it difficult to produce work on a production line schedule to continually test consumer sentiment. Potts Point Galleries is a great space and we enjoyed our time there immensely. If our friends and foll...owers would like to buy work they can via Gallery 54’s Instagram and Facebook pages or through our websites and Saatchi Art stores. We will continue to stage and promote our various upcoming shows and events. Coming events include: *April’s ‘Summer Studio Show and Sale’ at Lennox St Studios, 111 Lennox St Newtown on Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 March from 10 am - 5 pm. *Steve’s Art Stand at ‘The Other Art Fair’ at The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve, 1 Merriman St, Millers Point, Thursday 18 - Sunday 21 March (various times). This will include some of Lorraine’s work. *April and Steve will be doing ‘The Winter Joint Show’ at Rex Livingston Art & Objects in Katoomba NSW that will engage an abstract exploration of the natural and urban landscapes. She found a creative space at Lennox Street Studios ten years ago after leaving her Canadian homeland and traveling around the world. Painting and drawing is the main focus of her art practice with some exploration of digital media.
