24.01.2022 ‘In my view, 2020 is being defined by challenges and change ... My work, Corrupted Touch, speaks to this by presenting altered and deformed photographs in the form of colour polaroids. The physical process of creating these works is harsh and destructive yet produces something beautiful, just like the bush land regenerating after the catastrophic fires .... ‘. We love how David has created four unique artworks that form the perfect 20 x 20 cm grid. If you love contemporary, something edgy but meaningful then his artwork is the one to choose. An exhibition with PhotoAccess closing this Sunday 6 September at 4pm. David Lindesay

23.01.2022 ’Brouleé by Sammy Hawker is a series of artworks that stand alone or together as a set. Sammy has ... explored the yearning the photograph incites by taking an image and treating it to the process of abstraction through enlargement .... . She draws on Lucida Roland Barthes book ‘Camera’ and Michelangelo Antonioni’s film ‘Blown Up’ to investigate several elements including the grain of the paper and enlargement. Sammy explains ... As is illustrated by both Barthes and A...ntonioni, the incomplete potential of an image has the ability to both haunt and seduce the viewer ... . Exhibition open seven days a week, 11am to 4pm till 6 September. A collaboration with PhotoAccess.

21.01.2022 In moments of doubt, I find great solace in the photography of Vivian Maier, a woman whose self-portraiture reveals an unflinching willingness to question her own identity. Often position in front of a mirror, Maier fearlessly pointed her camera toward the woman in front of her .... . 10.01.2022 Last weekend! Show closes 4pm, Sunday 2 August! Painter Phil Page has created two small, figurative works using ‘incorporation of borrowed scenery in a framed view is a frequent component of Japanese landscape design, although the term ‘borrowing of scenery’ ("shakkei") in environmental design is Chinese in origin, and appears in the 17th century garden treatise Yuanye ‘ This image is detail of Borrowed Landscape 1. 09.01.2022 Last weekend! Don’t miss out as we have a fabulous photomedia exhibition on as part of GOST’s annual group show. Perfect timing for a Father’s Day outing. Ian Skinner has chosen three artworks of how 2020 started for a friend. Ian explains, I visited a friends farm on the New South Wales coast shortly after they had been devastated by the New Year’s Eve fires which was followed shortly afterwards by a massive flooding. They invited me to document the impact of these events and I found myself both drawn to the physical drama of the way fires had blasted their small piece of paradise as well as the contradiction of the bursting greens from the rains that had arrived before I did. Exhibition is open all weekend and closes 4pm, Sunday 6 September. PhotoAccess

In fact, you’ll become more confident and determined to try again! The workshop is this coming Wednesday night 12 August from 6-8pm. You can book online via our website. Go to Workshops and scroll down till you see Residencies, Awards and Grants. There is a grey box to click on and easy instructions to follow. Image courtesy of Nic Mason.
